Hello all. I know I shouldn't worry, but if you were in my shoes, you know exactly how I feel. I am waiting to get the NOA2 for my fiance's filing. I got my NOA1 on Jan 30, 2014. My application is being processed by the texas service center and my fiance's consulate is Mumbai, India.

When I saw the statistics, here: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/stats.php?cfl= , it says I should get the NOA2 in 80 days or so. It has been 87 days (61 business days) and I have not heard any progress. I am waiting until May 15, 2014 before I start to really worry.

My question is, for anyone who has filed for K1 and has been processed by the texas center, how long did it take you to get your NOA2?

Thank you for any help.

The statistics on VJ are a very small sample of the petitions being processed by USCIS, and while they generate estimated dates than can be pretty accurate, they are not a totally dependable prediction of when things will happen.

My NOA2 came later than many other VJers who filed at the same time, to the point where it felt like they had forgotten about us. But then one day, voila, the status changed and everything moved ahead as normal, within normal processing times. There's just no way to know when this is going to be.

You are within normal processing times until the end of June, which is still more than 2 months away. Believe me, I know how hard it is, but the best thing you can do for now is not spend your time analyzing statistics and worrying yourself over them. It will happen! The good thing is, the wait between NOA1 and NOA2 at the petition stage is most likely the longest wait you'll have, and you're almost there!

2013 7/15 I-129F sent, 7/18 received Dallas lockbox, 7/22 NOA1, 10/22 NOA2, 11/15 NVC Case Created, 11/20 NVC Shipped, 11/25 Consulate received, 11/28 Packet 3 received/returned, 11/29 Medical, 12/9 Packet 4 received

2014 1/9 Interview - Approved, 1/15 CEAC - Issued, 1/17 Visa in hand, 2/5 POE: LAX, 4/4 Married!, 4/8 AOS/EAD/AP filed, 4/14 NOA1, 5/7 Walk-in biometrics, 5/19 EAD/AP approved (expedited), 5/22 EAD/AP mailed, 5/23 EAD/AP received, 7/29 Interview waiver letter

2015 4/13 AOS approved (no interview), 4/22 Green card received

2017 1/17 I-751 ROC filed (VSC), 1/23 NOA, 2/28 Biometrics

2018 1/31 ROC approved

2020 1/14 N400 filed

Thanks for the comforting reply. I only worry because I want to make sure my fiance will be here before september 1st, because we have all of our wedding plans booked for september 7th. Do you think everything can be done by then?

It really all depends. Its a full background check on the U.S. Petetioner. It only taken me 4 1/2 weeks to get my NOA2. I just got it a few days ago. When I called the USCIS they told me it would take 5 months cause that's what shows up on there website so I had my mind already set on August but I just happen to look up my case a few days ago and seen that it was approved and sent to NVC. I was so excited. I hope you get your NOA2 very soon. Good Luck

Thanks for all of your replies. I just hope everything works out. I don't want to lose all of the deposits I made for our wedding.

TSC is quite slowly for the last a few months. When my fiancé filed for me back in August 2013, TSC was pretty fast and I got approved for I-129F in 38 days without RFE. I hope TSC comes back to normal and you guys can have your wedding as you have already planned. But, many people here always give an advice that do not booked anything until your visa in hand especially if an AP is requirement or mandatory in the US consulates for beneficiaries from some certain countries.

Hi!

We are at TSC too, with NOA1 of Jan 29... Hopefully we will see some approvals soon.

You can check out this forum so you can follow up on progress for other January 2014 K1 filers at the TSC

Number one rule! PLAN NOTHING..,.,until you have a visa and airline ticket in hand and are headed toward your destination!

PLAN.,.,,.,.nothing! You have no idea what may happen.

I thought we were on our way to the USA, me and my Filipino wife, and then the medical, at the most corrupt medical center in the world, and after 2 doctors passed her x-ray the third did not, so 3 months of the "Sputum Fiasco"..,., then there is AP.,. who knows what happens with that.,..,.

Most likely, all will be fine, but please, when you have visa and plane ticket.,.,.,.,.plan!
