Hello World! First time poster here.

A little bit of background: My fiance is from Sweden, and we have been together for about three and a half years. We met when she moved to the US temporarily for an internship. When her internship ended, I moved to Sweden with her and we lived there for over two years. (I was able to get a visa based on our status as a cohabiting couple; no marriage or engagement required). Recently, I moved back to the US for work. She is still in Sweden awaiting the opportunity to move here, so we're currently in the unfortunate position of being in a long-distance relationship.

I filed the I-129F from the US the same week that I moved back. On April 4, I got confirmation from the USCIS that my petition had been received.

On Tuesday, she checked our petition status at the USCIS website and was shocked to see that our petition was apparently approved on April 14th and our case was in post-decision status. I checked the website myself and cautioned her against getting excited. Surely it must be a clerical error, right? It states right there on the website that the expected processing time is five months!

So today I called in to the customer service center at the USCIS to ask about it. I went through the automated system and put in our case number, and the same status details were relayed to me. So I had the call transferred to an operator. I explained the situation and asked if there was any sort of error, and they said no!

So apparently our case was approved in exactly 10 days! How this happened is utterly perplexing to me.

Has anyone else had their petition approved so quickly? Can anyone shed any light on why our petition could have gone through so quickly?

Ours was approved in 13 days

Congrats ours was done in 35 days. Now it the NVC would be just as quick. been 10 days and it is not in the system yet.

There is one USCIS, and the TSC, and the CSC, how can one be so much quicker, 95% of the time?

Should cases not be transferred, to even-out the work load to make things more equitable, for all that apply!

By, the way, a very big CONGRATS, to the lucky couple!

They're really stepping up their game. I was expecting an 8 months process but it was about 70 days from start to finish for us (Thailand).

Just make sure you have everything prepared for your Packet 3 and 4 so you're ahead of the game. Our police report held us back a bit.

Congrats.

How were you transferred from tsc to csc the day before you got NOA2?? Did your number start with SRC? I don't think you were actually transferred....

I think you have confused the Texas lock box with the Texas service centre. In which case your timeline is wrong and it is affecting tsc data on this site.

05-18-2022: Filed N-400 online. Received online NOA and Biometrics re-use.

06-03-2022: Interview scheduled (online notice).

06-10-2022: Interview letter received via USPS.

07-11-2022: Naturalization Interview

Yeah sorry I just fixed it. Apparently I was a bit confused back in early days.

Hope the data is OKAY now.
