Hi everybody, I've been lurking around for quite a bit and asked plenty of questions through personal messages since I joined. I felt it was high time for an actual introduction.

My name is Nick and I currently live in the Netherlands. I met Kristen at my university in Utrecht (the Netherlands) that she was visiting on holiday. We started talking and we had an instant connection. I didn't ask for her number because I was afraid I would be too forward, and of course after a while we had to both go our separate ways. I felt stupid, all I knew was her first name. Luckily, there is such a thing as facebook, but I wasn't the only one thinking about that because as soon as I logged in I already had a friendship request from her.

The next couple weeks we kept talking over skype, whatsapp and facebook-chat nearly every hour that we were awake. I fell for her, hard. And she started to like me more every day too. We decided to become an item in June.
But of course it was a bit odd since, well, she's American and across the globe. So before long we booked the first flight, and started visiting each other as often as we could. Every time we'd see each other our feelings would only be confirmed; this is the real deal.

Fast forward to December, I won't hand out all the juicy details but I proposed! And she said yes!! I thought I couldn't be happier than right there and then. -But I could.

Last February we tied the knot. We got married in this cute little church in Ohio, it was amazing.
But.. I had to go back to the Netherlands quite soon afterwards since I was still in school and so is she.

We decided we would really want to live together, so we sent in the I-130 and we just got our NOA1 today.
Now the waiting starts, unfortunately haha!
