Hello Forum, I (from netherlands) just recently married the love of my life (from Texas) and we are starting our my CR-1 application. The one bit of information i can't seem to find is wether or not my wife should register being married before the application or not. The county clerk in Texas told my wife that she has to do that at the appostile office and the appostile office told her she should do that at the county clerk. So what we are trying to figure out is if it is even necessary to do that or that applying for the CR-1 is doing that in itself. For info, we got married in the Netherlands on the 14th of August 2021. My wife is back in the US and i'm still in the Netherlands. I've been to the US several times, and my now wife has been to the Netherlands even more. Thank you in advance for anyone who responds. -
Hello everyone, I have a question. I received the initial letter from the Embassy telling me to get the documents and fill out the DS-160. Afterwards I received the email that the Embassy requested me to get a VOG (criminal background check/ police certificate in NL) with a special code so I used that. The VOG has a processing time of 1-4 weeks. Considering potential back log at the embassy; should I send my letter back requesting them to make my interview appointment? And should I get the VOG translated after I receive it, I know it contains an English description but does the Embassy consider that enough? Thank you for your help. -
Hi all, My family is scheduled to fly from Memphis, Tn to Bucharest, Romania with a few hour layover in Amsterdam. Netherlands requires a PCR test taken within 72 hours of flight l, and the issue I'm concerned the most with, is that our flight is on a Monday. Has anyone taken a PCR test on a friday and got the results for a monday, or even Sunday flight? We are in Memphis, so if somewhere like Walgreens or CVS can do it over the weekend before monday that would be great, otherwise I. Going to have to attempt an expensive clinic 4 hours away in nashville.
