I am getting kind of excited and NERVOUS as the interview date is getting closer… anyone here attending the interview with your spouse/family?

I heard they ask more questions if the petitioner is present, any pros and cons?

I just spoke to a nice lady at NVC (didn't catch her name), and she told me that the they have already completely scheduled the interviews for May for the Bombay consulate. I was a bit surprised as they continued to schedule last month until a week in to the new month.

Are they reliable on this front? They do tend to answer in a way such that you don't call again, so just wondering is this the case of wait 30 business days for reviews or they really filled up the slots and the only opportunity for interview being scheduled will be next month?

Well it can come and go. India has had a boatload of interviews these last few months. They probably assigned fast and furious all you can do is wait and see if you get in otherwise its next go round for June at end of month beginning of May I'm afraid.

Everyone's 2013 will be due at interview. So I would definitely have it ready. For many of you since spouse will be here soon just file an extension you can go to turbotax file the extension free print it have at interview with your W2 real simple. no amending to do later.

No Ready means ready for interview. You will go through In transit maybe if they update that when it is sent to embassy.

My husband just called NVC....Rep told that they are still scheduling for May interview for Mumbai embassy. But still nothing for us.

We already file 2013 through Turbotax and got IRS transcripts for 2013, should we update I-864 at the consulate or there is no need?

Just have ready if they ask you have you can offer and give also. It's all on you. You have it so be sure you have all of it just to be safe so no delays.

My Interview date was May 26at first and then rescheduled for April 28, I sent an email to the embassy and explained i needed an earlier date because my wife is pregnant and her due date is near..
