I have receieved my interview email for the end of May in London but CEAC still says AT NVC. Does that mean my case has not left for the London Embassy yet?

As per NVC it will take upto 2 weeks for the case file to be sent to Mubai Consulate. Will call NVC again in 1 week.

Has anyone succeeded in rescheduling the interview for an earlier date?.. I contacted the embassy because i saw available time slots in ustraveldocs.com but they said i can't reschedule an interview scheduled by NVC using the site. If i call the NVC can they reschedule it? To me it doesn't make much sense to have those free time slots and not let anyone take them (because i don't see why they're keeping them).

I'm trying to do the same thing. My husband is going to get his medical done end of this week or early next week and I wanted to call the embassy with that info hoping to get the date moved up as well. Thanks for that website, gonna check it out.

I just spoke to a nice lady at NVC (didn't catch her name), and she told me that the they have already completely scheduled the interviews for May for the Bombay consulate. I was a bit surprised as they continued to schedule last month until a week in to the new month.

Are they reliable on this front? They do tend to answer in a way such that you don't call again, so just wondering is this the case of wait 30 business days for reviews or they really filled up the slots and the only opportunity for interview being scheduled will be next month?

Completely opposite response to us. NVC Representative told us that they are still scheduling for Mumbai consulate. And still we have a chance for May interview.

No it has not. They never leave right away. They may be still scheduling. Give them a few days Or call and see,

No. You aren't in the interview queue until you have all documents reviewed and accepted than case complete than you wait. They are probably done with May scheduling so the next go round will be end of this month beginning of next month for June. Get case complete first. maybe they will be done under that 30 days.

For your case to be completed looks like about 2 weeks seems doable. Getting the interview scheduled might or might not take longer. One of the NVC people I spoke to told me that scheduling is determined not only by availability of slots but also completion date, how long it has been since you started the process (earlier NOA1 dates have priority), etc.

If your husband has the time to try get through (I had the best luck around 7pm ET) and sit on hold "for a moment" because "someone will be with you shortly" (i.e., usually 30 minutes), I don't see how it can hurt.

The website used to say 2--4 weeks for processing, but I can't find that message anymore. Good luck.
