I call NVC everyday to see if they received my approved petition but so far nothing. I just want to check if im doing it right. I just check with whoever answers and they tell me its not in system yet. Is that pretty much it?

Check the below sheet, that will keep you aware when you might get your case no.

You can send it in prior to PAID status; they are not going to scan in the package or even look at it for a while. Just make sure the money has cleared your account this will happen the very next business day. This is to make sure there weren't any errors with the payment transaction.

Thanks..

I have some other doubts too if you can help

1) Average time taken by Mumbai consulate from case complete to interview date???

2) Requirement of Bank statement in AOS [This is the requirement of Mumbai consulate]

Sounds right! We received all our emails on the 5th. And now our AOS docs, which were sent on Mar 19, are pending for review.

They really need to put more people on reviewing/replying to Emails!!! Another Chinese beneficiary sent their ENROLL two days before we did, and received acceptance and a new case number A WEEK before me!

wow, that seems to blow 'chronological intake of email' right out of the water...

Hello Saylin,

I have paid AOS fees and it shows pending (I think transaction is in process).

Should I wait for it to completed or I can send the packet of AOS.?

Cover page with bar code is available as soon as I paid the fees

Has the money been taken from your bank yet? If so, it's recommended that you could send it now.

shahzadi, on 08 Apr 2014 - 10:20 PM, said:

I don't work and I just read saylin's wiki post that I can submit 1040 which is all my accountant filed for me since I don't work and I told her to put the gross income as $19,800.. so I believe NVC will except this.. If I send them my 1040

If you don't work and don't have any current income for 2014, you should have a joint sponsor. Sorry if you already know that, but I'm having trouble following your story clearly.

John Leo, on 08 Apr 2014 - 11:11 PM, said:

We paid AOS and IV fees. Now preparing AOS packages to send. Then our lawyer told us to submit my original police clearances and birth certificate with the package. But I have only one originals of my birth cert and Indian & UAE PCCs.

So is it a good idea to send my only originals to NVC?

If submitted to NVC, do I need to submit originals again at my UAE embassy interview??

Yes, originals are required. Also send a photocopy of the originals so that at the interview, you can receive your originals back - they'd keep the copies.

Congratulations, and please stay happy! It is a far longer process than I desired or anticipated, and I consider myself relatively lucky as many people who sent an I-130 early-mid 2013, ended up waiting even longer than I who 'applied' later. The wait for you case number at NVC is now the most depressing part, and then your excitement can return as the payments and paperwork filing proceeds. :luv:

I believe the IRS tax transcript site was discussed a bit in last month's thread, as I skimmed through this entire one again lol and didn't find the reference to it that I was looking for

- ie - my husband has not been able to order his transcripts online as it 'doesn't recognize his address/ it's not the address on file'. So he had to order by phone/snail mail.

Has anyone else had this happen or have any ideas as to why? He hasn't moved anywhere since filing the I-130 last July, and his 2013 taxes have already been processed.. so they should have the proper address on file.

It does sound that, after a case number is generated, things start to move pretty quickly. I guess I'd better finalize my IV package so I can ship it out as soon as able.

Soon, soon!

for the IRS website, they have some crazy requirements for the data fields.

You can try to input the same address in different ways: no commas, no special characters,... and it should work.

I had the same problem until I was able to find the right format and I created and login and a password.

If you request a transcript from the IRS by mail, (like if you're having problems with their website) there are less fields to fill out and it really does get to you within 10 days.

That is what I thought. I am going to call the NVC again.. I don't have a problem sending the divorce decrees HOWEVER, anyone who knows how Costa Rica is....the divorce decree I was given from the family court is a fax that is certified true and correct... Its what they give. or at least what they gave me. I am the only one who can request that document from the registry so if I need something different, I'd have to be present in Costa Rica to get it. I can bring it to the interview if that is what they want but I won't be able to get it before then. I'm not flying there just for ONE document. I did print out the page from the national registry that shows I am divorced. I am so sick of the lawyers office not knowing the process. I am just floored at the AOS paperwork she wanted me to sign. You would think the lawyers would be on top of "not leaving any blanks"

oMG what a nightmare you can't put your faith in anyone theese days. Everything's just all about $$$$. What is this world coming to? Do you remember the days when a handshake and a promise meant something? I barely can!!! I think that's why I've become such a control freak. You just can't trust anyone to do anything. Unless you do it yourself. Thank God we are well informed. Imagine the people who aren't on VJ and don't even know any better? Thank God we have each other!!!! :)

Does any one know what exactly is this BAR CODE that's generated after payment of aos and pavket iv

When nvc scans it ,what does it give, the case number ? Or some transaction no.

Why are the bar codes generated for aos & packet iv same even though those are 2 seperate transactions?

Thanks..

I have some other doubts too if you can help

1) Average time taken by Mumbai consulate from case complete to interview date???

2) Requirement of Bank statement in AOS [This is the requirement of Mumbai consulate]

http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/ivaffidavit.html

It really depends on when your case is completed. Check the link in the Saylin's wiki guide for India data, also you can look at the May interview thread spreasheet for India. It should be around 1.5 to 2 months.

There is no requirement for bank statement if you go thorough NVC; unless you are using assets. I am going through Mumbai consulate and my AOS was accepted and I didn't send a bank statement. But, I guess it wouldn't hurt to have a copy of the latest bank statement at the interview.

Just got off the phone with Agent Lisa, who really must be the happiest NVC agent I've ever spoken to. No updates on my case, but she did tell me that they've been having massive phone problems the past several days. I told her about the lack of hold music, the "I can't get no Satisfaction" hold music, and that the office was closed yesterday afternoon and she confirmed that the phone system went down entirely at that time.
