Sounds like the Lawyer sat on it for a year and has just filed.

I suggest AP because it's typical of males from high fraud countries. Doesn't mean it will happen but to be unprepared for the possibility...

after i getting the receipt for the immigration case in about 3 weeks , how long still for me untill intrvew day please

thanks for all pples here

What we need from you is

  1. when did your lawyer file your petition?
  2. You say a K3 which means he sent a I-130 and I129F?
  3. Have either one of them been approved by USCIS?
  4. Stop thinking interview until we can know where you are in the process.

Okay now I see after reading your other post. You just filed in December. Now you can sit and wait the next 8 to 12 months for approval. Then you will go to NVC for another 2 to 4 months. Then case complete then you wait 1 to 4 months for interview at your embassy.

If he sent file in December you are 4 months in now. You have a wait. What receipt in 3 weeks your lawyer is saying I have no clue. You should request from him your receipt# (the # USCIS assigns to you your case# with them) You should know as much as your lawyer if not more.

I am getting to wonder if the SO has any SAY-SO in this process....

Your wife should post the questions and info on here and we will be able to communicate better.

I do have a question for you...is your lawyer from the U.S. or Maroc?

je crois pas que l'avocat serai du Maroc. Ils n'ont aucune connaisance de la loi de l'immigration Americaine.

On a besoin de bcp de details pour comprendre l'histoire.

Translation: I don't think the lawyer is from Morocco. They have no knowledge of US immigration laws.

We need a lot of details to understand the story.
