HELLO EVERYONE,

My relative came here on a tourist B1/B2 visa. Is there anyway he can change from B1/B2 visit to another visa since indeed he has six months of authorized stay in the USA? Also, what visa would you prefer if we decide to follow such path?

Your question is vague.

What basis would your relative have for another visa or status?

Your relative can apply for whatever he/she qualifies for. Since you gave us no information about your relative, there is no way to advise you.

My relative came as a visitor but wants to stay so my question is; what's the legal way of doing this? If there no visa available within the USA, what can he pursues if he wants to stay?

He wants tp study computer programming. Is there also no other option aside from schooling? If he gets a job offer, can he also get an H1 visa? I am curious to know the various options that are available so I can either tell him to stay or go back home. Thanks for the reply y'all

His prospective Employer would appoint a Lawyer to process the H1b. Does he have a job offer?

For most obs you have to be able to show that there is no available US person to do the job , are his skills going to fall into that. Unfortunately many visitors to the US want to stay. Few are able to without some waiting.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
