I agree with Boiler. The OP is reporting anxiety, panic attacks and a physical manifestation of stress (hair loss - which is the part that is most concerning - being wound up is one thing, actually having your hair fall out because of it is another).

She should speak to her doctor about some counseling and potentially other treatments. Missing your partner and dealing with paperwork should not have her reported side effects, and dealing with your issues early is better than getting worse. It won't have a negative impact on her medical, since her doctor will be able to report that she's being treated and isn't a safety risk to herself or others (since that's the bit the medical-for-visa doctor will be interested in).

I don't think her case even comes close to this level. Worry and anxiety are not mental illness or psychosis. And were the hell is she talking about alcohol and drugs? Your just scaring this poor girl and making it worse for her.

Thank uuuuu!!!! <3

You sound like you need to be talking to your Doctor, not posting on a web site.

It does sound like you have a number of complicated issues that need to be addressed.

You need professional help.

I completely agree, you are obviously handling this a little different than most, possibly due to other circumstances as well, but you only filed a short time ago, I understand that this is a stressful time- we’ve all been there, but your reaction is a little extreme. People are offering advice for the next steps; it is up to you to read guides and become knowledgeable; panicking will only make the situation worse. If this isn’t something you can control, maybe professional help should be considered... This process can be trying at times, but it isn’t short, so if you’re having this much difficulty now; think about what it could be like for you in 6 months.

Aggravating the situation is not helping. Calm soothing music and soft words are needed now.

I don't think any comments have been rude or uncalled for, quite the opposite; people are only trying to offer advice- it is up to the op to either choose to accept it or not. She seems very anxious in her posts (something that seems to be out of her control), and telling someone to just relax and listen to calm soothing music in this case probably wont solve anything. This isn’t meant to be disrespectful, just my 2 cents.

Hello guys!! So my fiance called today the USCIS and asked if there is any way to speed up the process and the woman told him that she will send a request of expedite to speed the process and will send us an email to tell us yes or no. He said im losing my hair and i have panic attacks cause of my stress.

Is anyone that knows anything about this? Is this going to get my process denied or have problem on my medical exams with the embassy doJust be good and everything will work fr the go

Just be good and everything will work out for the good. If everybody has to request for an expedite in this process, the value will be the same and you will still be where u are. Patience, and the very best of luck

Geia sou Laspoxaroumeni. Like so many others have said already, relax.. iremise!

The expidite request will most likely be denied. I am sure that when your fiancee filed it he had no medical documentation attached with it as proof let alone the fact that what you are experiencing, is all due to stress. Stress is not something that will get you an approved expidite request, if it did all of VJ would have filed for one, myself included!

Even with the expidite request in your file, when you get to the medical stage, you will only be a couple of months away from the end of this journey and im sure your stress levels will have gone down by then. Should the doctor bring it up, just explain to him that the immigration process caused you this stress.

Saying that your panic attacks and hair loss is a mental disorder, is like saying im anorexic cuz I dropped 20 pounds in a month and a half!

I get how bad things can be with your family.. my father announced he would disown me and kick me out when he found out I was in a long distance relationship with plans of getting married and moving there. Now, my mother is more in love with my husband than I am and my father thinks the world of him.

What you and I are doing is unheard of in Greece, and it can be extremely hard, and thats not including the whole immigration process.

If you ever need to just talk, and let off steam.. PM me.

Laspoxaroumeni,

I have been through the process a little while ago....you can pm me and talk this over, since we both have to deal with Greece, here. Don't panic, girl...everything goes smoothly. People at the embassy are kind and friendly and they realize that we are under a lot of stress, since this is our life they have in their hands! And the medical is not as difficult as you think. Imagine that the blood test is for syphilis! Not for AIDS or HBV or whatever incurable, but syphilis :)

Do yourself a favour and take it easy....

Contact me if you need any more info!

So he applied for an expedite after barely over a month?

He needs to slow his roll, and you two need to have a talk about realistic expectations.
