That's a good question. Sometimes I would like to live in the desert again, but then I think about the summer heat and dryness and think I should be where it rains enough to make things green. Mostly I would like to live where there isn't so much humidity and the air is fresher and my husband can get a good job. I haven't figured out where that is.

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

no, I'm serious. My wife owns 12 houses, a riverside warehouse, another warehouse, all in Detroit. I luvs the idea of fixing up these houses, her being a landlord, and me having fun on campus when I'm not running contraband across the river to Windsor. [yes, I bought her houses from eBay when it was cheap/er]

Might as well buy places in Gary, Indiana. As to the topic I live in Oregon and for right now no other place I rather be.

I was just going to say that!! They were selling them for $1 to people who promised to live in them. Honestly! It was just a couple months ago. I drove my husband through Gary a few weeks ago. I told him, "Now you can say you have been to Gary."
