Bringing parents and under age siblings

Question: If my wife is a US citizen, i know that she can apply for her parents immediately but can she also apply for her under 18 sister and it be the same timeline as her parents? I have been researching this and havent been able to find anything about underage siblings. It only specifys siblings over the age of 21.

The sister can't come along with the parents. Her parents can petition her sister once they are in the US.

She can petition her siblings as well.

But the wating time will be much longer than her (first) petitioning her parents, and them (second) petitioning their other kids (the original USC's siblings).

there is only one category for siblings, all in the same box, married, unmarried, under 21, over 21, it doesn't matter, the wait is the same for all

Unfortunately. My brother will be 7 in a few weeks, my mom will be immigrating, and he can't.

I have never understood why there's no derivative category for minors...

The only way is for the parents to come separately and alternate their stay in the US and with the child, maintaining residency in the US. Or in my family's case, since there's no dad present, for my mom to get a 2-year re-entry permit.

I don't want them to come later, that's the problem. I need them here ASAP. Humanitarian situation.

Somehow I think that the TS wants his/her family together soon too, not in 15 years.

Your wants and immigration code never align , You have to do what you can via current law You can get a sibling here in 12 to 23 years a parent takes a year. an underage child about 1-2 years from parent petition for them

Apply for your mother first, once she is in the US and met the state residency which 6 months, she can them file for her son usually it takes 18 moths average, this is the only fast route, i do undertand that you want them to come together and that aint happing. so best of luck, i am in the same situation, and i applied for my mother, my bother is 17 years old, her I-130 has been approved and waiting for NVC case, and if she is here by May -2014 then she can apply for my brother on December 2014 and by end 2016 he will be here thats the plan, we are trying to make the process faster before he reaches 21 on end of 2017.

The moment the immigrating IR5 parent steps foot in the US, he/she can file i130 for his/her spouse. No such thing as waiting for 6 months. Their minor children will become a derivative of the F2A petition.

Exactly. The same applies to filing for a GC holder's child. That's why I was so surprised to hear about residency requirement.
