Has any one had a situation where a work sheet was given for 3 people to positively ID a k1 visa recipient and passport wasn't retained and still get approved

My fiancé was told to do that after she had her interview back in September in Lagos

And till now no answer yet from the consulate have emailed them practically twice a month and no answer yet

Ceac had READY on it

Well I know someone going through this now in Lagos its been 3 weeks but they have sent field agents out and have interviewed his whole family.

Has your fiance' had people come out? Sometimes they interview people sometimes they observe and you don't even know who they are just look like the neighbor folk.

Emailing the embassy gets you no where. All you can do is be patient do email now and then and pray and hope for the best.

I would like to ask a couple of questions about your interview experience in Montreal, if I may.

I want to decide how I am going to prepare the original documents packages for my interview in Montreal.

I am wondering how wide is the sloped slot underneath the glass window you have passed your documents through?

Is the interview conducted also through a glass window? Were you able to rear well? Were you sitting on a chair or standing? Are the interview private or other people outside can rear you?

Please kindly reply my questions.

I used one of these

That way I separated everything I needed into the right spot. It holds items that are "letter" sized. It also fits neatly into the tray for the security scanner. It is bendable, but you won't be handing it over, just sliding the piece of paper needed under the window (remember to bring the original signed I-864.)

The windows are like the windows at movie theatres. There is the spot underneath in which so slide an item but it has to bend so don't bring anything stiff. It's as wide as the window is, about 2ft.

The interviews are also conducted at windows or in little rooms but the doors remain open. You stand at the window and it's easy to hear and talk to the other person. They're not completely private and someone could hear you if you were talking loudly. Saylin has photos of the outside of the building and some rather accurate little drawings of the inside.

I am happy to announce to everyone that my journey finally ended yesterday. My wife had her interview and her visa was approved. She spent a little over five hours at the embassy becuase the scheduled all IR1/CR1 interviews thesame day. She said the CO only asked her for her supporting documents (mostly pics and phone records) and my Nat Certificate. No personal questions about me or our relationship which was kind of suprising to me. I am in cloud 9 right now.

Immense thanks to DWEELS AND EVERY ONE ON vISA JOURNEY AND GOOD LUVK TO THOSE STILL WAITING!!!!!!

Quick update, my wife's visa was approved two days ago.

She was told to get her passport and visa next week.

According to my wife, the interview was quick and painless.

The interviewer did not ask (probably because our application was complete) any additional supporting documents from her, even though she was well prepared, .

So lucky if you make it by end of may

Mine case completed january 28 then got a respond from NVC last feb 11 of my wife birthday stating in the letter an interview

On last march 3 bu then finally on last march 13 2014 they are here joining with me in the US Best gift ever good luck who those waited for their final journey

Okay this is confusion. You say you have case complete but they are reviewing your docs. Who said you had case complete April 3rd? You need to hear that from them and than you will be in the interview queue. If they are still reviewing you thats not case complete.

You need to move over to the most current thread thats the one you will join May Interview thread.

Your Highness Dwheels have you added me yet, since CC on 12/16/2014? Must be the real deal since a rep told me CC then an hour later Paid turned to N/A. Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo I think it's safe to add me once again.

Haven't read the thread yet but the Rep told me Egypt is no longer Scheduling interviews and that they can't promise me a Feb interview. Have you seen any trends with Egypt at all I should know of?
