I just checked our status here:

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

The status has changed from In Transit to Ready.

Looking at the VisaJourney's wiki, it appears in the past, US embassy sends packages to the beneficiary.

Based from our IL and the state.gov website, it looks like US embassy does not send packages any longer to IR1/CR1 beneficiary?

Meaning, we should have everything that we need (+ medical exam result) without the need to wait for anything from US embassy?

Became LPR:

November cases waiting on interview:

NAME ...............COMPLETE....RECEIVED....INTERVIEW...VISA TYPE....EMBASSY

jematt..............12/31/13....01/09/14....02/06/14....IR-1/CR-1....Netherlands

dhwheels, haven't been here for a couple of weeks...just too bummed about this. The consulate pushed our interview back one week to 2/13/14. Just letting you know so you can update this list. No explanation about why..they just sent a form letter to my hubby's home address. So, he had his medical also rescheduled by the embassy. (So inconvenient and without thought to his schedule that he rearranged for all of this.) So, the medical is this week. Interview next week. Wish us luck!

Do you happen to know what we should expect next? I'm assuming everything will go well at the interview/medical. Do they make you wait before you get the actual visa? Just trying to figure out when I can actually expect my hubby home. I realize it's only one week longer...but that's one week too much longer.

Hi all. Could anyone tell me categorically how long a uk police certificate is valid for please?

I am a uk citizen with an American spouse so my interview will be at the US embassy in the UK sometime this spring.

My police certificate was issued in May 2013 so I am needing to know if it will still be valid for my interview.

Thanks in advance and good luck to you all with your interviews.

It is only good for one year. So as long as you get a interview before May you should be good to go.

Hubby went to his interview today. Sooo the consulate was "missing" my joint sponsors tax info including the i864. They told him that he's approved but he needs to send them the missing paperwork first before they can generate his visa. I'm so upset and disappointed since those are documents I have to get from my parents AGAIN...and even more disappointed in myself that I didn't make copies of those documents back at the NVC stage. Hubby didn't think to ask them to double check since THEY technically lost it. Also he didn't ask if they would accept my I864 solely since I can sponsor him with my current salary and paychecks (I just didn't have the history of 3 years on tax returns). I feel like this whole year has been 1 step forward and 2 steps back. Bummer! Hoping this only delays us a week...

12/30/2012 Got married!

02/01/2013 Sent I-130 via Priority Mail USPS

02/05/2013 NOA1 Priority Date

04/09/2013 Called USCIS-informed by Tier 2 officer that my case was transferred to Washington D.C. on March 13

09/05/2013 NOA2

09/27/2013 NVC received case

Submitted DS-261

Paid AOS bill

10/16/2013 Paid IV bill

10/19/2013 Submitted DS-260
10/21/2013 Mailed AOS and IV packages overnight

11/15/2013 IV package accepted/Checklist for AOS

11/26/2013 New AOS documents received at NVC

12/19/2013 Case Complete

12/27/2013-Received Interview letter

01/26/2014-Husband's Medical Exam

02/13/2014-Interview- Approved, but the consular officer did not see I-864 joint sponsor documents, and sent my husband home with the packet of all the original documents, and told him to mail it in when he gets it. My husband realized that the "missing" documents had been there all along. Husband immediately mailed it back.

02/26/2014-Consular office received "missing" documents and gave it to CO for review

03/17/2014-Visa Issued!

03/20/2014- Received Visa

03/21/2014- POE!

Your welcome and I got my hubby back with me on 31 Jan 14 after interview on 24 Jan14. Just make sure you tell them at interview you would like to fly back to US in 3 days and you should get your visa printed in two days. That what happen for us. Good luck on your journey. :)

My fiancé was told to do that after she had her interview back in September in Lagos

And till now no answer yet from the consulate have emailed them practically twice a month and no answer yet
