yeah sad.png I should used USPS, don't why I went there now so worried if my fiance was able to get the mail, cuz it was all hard copy sad.png for interview..

Well, now, the more important thing is: when is your fiancee's interview? If it's within the month, is it still possible for you to re-do the forms?

My fiance used DHL and it reached me within 5 days, and I'm located in Metro Manila. It will take longer if your fiance is from another location.

Express mail works great internationally, because it's an international standard and is trackable on both ends. The international postal union actually fines member countries (Phillipines is a member) for being late on delivery of express mail items. I have sent my fiance in South America items via express mail 5 or 6 times now with no trouble. If you're going to send something via USPS, I would recommend using this service. What method did she send it then? Did they give you a number on your receipt?

Make sure next time do not use USPS to send anything to the Philippines. Because they use PhilPost at that end and PhilPost is notoriously corrupt. I have known people who have shipped stuff and it never got there, other people have got the package but stuff was missing in the package.

Although you not get priority envelope,

if you paid for priority international postage,

then that's how it went out.

Hint - purchase that online, next time, you get FREE tracking plus a discount.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

hi hank:) just to clarify, the W2, employment cert and 1040 paperwork as well as the paystubs need not be original? i can just have him scan them and email to me? how about the letter of intent to marry? he needs that signed too...right? i read that another letter should be provided to the interview and it should be dated recently.

Correct. Letter of Intent and I-134 need to be originals, everything else can be scanned and emailed.

It is posted a lot that USEM will ask for new Letters of Intent, but we still have ours and I know of many, many more that USEM never took them either. Be interested to know if the CO asks for your LOI during the interview.

I scanned everything apart from my letter of intent, i-134, tax returns as I mailed mine in and didn't file electronically. I sent mine via DHL because that is something I could track all the way there and has a better reputation for getting things around in the philippines. That is my opinion. Sometimes more money is worth the quality and security you get.
