Are you the only K-3 active on this thread? I might add a column for K-3 (to see if this has any bearing on time frame)....

I'm also thinking of adding a column with ARN date? I think it might be helpful for others to gauge how soon a decision is made once the number is assigned?

What does ARN stands for?? Also I have been waiting for hard copy of transferred. Since, my I am in first batch of transfer of the September batch. My guess, the case went to CSC. Lets see ....

10/28/13-I-130 Sent via USPS to Chicago Lock Box from Abroad

11/01/13-I-130 received at facility

11/12/13-Contacted Chicago Lock box to find info on our petition and was told it is being returned.

11/14/13-Received package back from Lock Box with RFE to resend it with correct filing fee.

(Money Order not drawn on US account)

11/25/13-I-130 Sent via USPS to Chicago Lock Box from Abroad with correct method of payment.

12/06/13-Received NOA1 via Email stating our case has been transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

12/12/13-Checked USCIS site for Case Status. Seen our case is in initial Review.

12/16/13-Received Hardcopy NOA1 in mail.

Feb 5-crossed border to US to see hubs and son off at airport. Flew to CA to establish domicile.

Feb 11-Case touched to update hub's change of address

Yeah baby! We got a transfer today! Praise God for always providing!! It has been exactly 6 months since we sent in our I-130 forms. Hopefully it will only be a few short weeks until our NOA2. It feels so good to know that our packet isn't lost and it headed in the right direction. The Lord is all that is GOOD!

*On 08/01/14 I received a checklist via email and responded right away. Over a month later, on 09/09/14, I received the hard-copy in the mail. Upon reading the hard-copy, I found that NVC made a mistake and emailed me the wrong checklist. I contacted a supervisor at NVC and she instructed me to write a letter of explanation to accompany my "real" checklist response. She also told me this may not help me and that we may be back in line. Lord help us!

I filed 9/11 so far nothing at all other than the notice I got saying they received it. Am I supposed to get a notice saying its transferred? My number starts with msc so thatss national benefits center...is it supposed to stay there till they send it to the nvc?

Yes, you will get a notice you were transferred. Hopefully tonight smile.png

Yes MSC means you are at the National Benefits Center (previously called Missouri Service Center, they changed the name of the center but the code stayed the same).

NBC does not adjudicate I-130s anymore, hence the transfers.

Your file will go to one of the four service centers: Vermont, Texas, California or Nebraska.
