Another Poland spouse here. My wife is from Lublin and I just sent the package Priority Express to the Chicago Lockbox. We're already well prepared for a 9.5 month wait. Not getting our hopes, so that way we're not upset when it takes forever.

I am from the other side of Poland Close to Germany and Czech Rep.

It is difficult to even guesstimate anything right now since Overland Park is (supposedly) not operational as of yet. They've been receiving petitions there at least since May. But, I've read this facility has hired 500 people and added 300 more to Lee's Summit.

Given adjudication take about 15 minutes, they might be able to get through the already created backlog fast.

So, pretty much, no one knows anything for sure. We in Poland have a term for situations like that. "A Czech movie". (Czeski film).

Were Kafka alive today, he'd have a good material to write "The Trial 2.0" just based on CIS. Haha.

At the end of the day, all we can do is wait and have faith. I have a good feeling about this

Also, Rysiu, stop obsessing about your petition. It is just perfect! You've submitted a lot of great evidence so you have nothing to worry about

Oh ok. Cool. My wife tells me how Western and Eastern Poland have such different accents and that you can tell right away which region a person is from, even though I can't detect it!

I really hope you're right about them being fast. It would be really nice to not have to wait 8.5-9.5 months. Ugh. haha My wife never told me about that term. I'll have to ask her.

But you're right, all we can do is wait. Let's hope your good feeling is right. I'm trying to have a good feeling, but I'm a very negative and pessamistic person so it's hard for me. But my wife is the exact opposite, so it all evens out.

Yes, the accents are distinguishable, but only to us Poles, I think

I spent a few years in the US and it took me quite a while to even notice there are so many different accents!

I am sooo bummed right now.. Thought one VJ'ers case was touched in Overland Park. Turned out his case is in Lee's Summit ...

Oh well, something WILL start happening and soon!

Seriously, I cannot believe this whole mess with I-130s has not made the news yet. Absolutely ridiculous!
