hey i got the same RFE a few days ago and we sent it in, this is how we wrote ours

he visited me here in my country xxxx on the 3rd - 13th march 2011

he proposed marriage to me on the 8th march 2011 and i gladly accepted

he visted me again on the 27thmarch -11th april 2013

Both of you need to write a letter briefly describing your relationship, you can include how you met, talk about the times you've spent together, how your relationship started, how you fell in love, talk about how you communicate, what you love about each other, etc. they just want a brief summary of your relationship.

I don't think the letter date has something to do with it.,i forwarded mine June and we're only able to submit our I129F by August. We got an RFE for both letter of intent, since i forwarded 2 originals to my fiance prior to submission, we just resend the other one and we were approved. There's a possibility that while scanning they misplace or overlook documents on files. Just send another one... Goodluck!

Are you signed it with blue ink? Some of people here used black ink and they've got RFE because 'might be' the adjucator think it was scanned. Let us know because I also used sample on VJ.

No, they don't. Not for USCIS purposes.

The only time this is advisable is for "front-loading" purposes -- for the benefit of the consulate, which will receive the I-129F petition upon its approval by USCIS. Front-loading is advisable for certain tough or ####### consulates, of which the Manila embassy is certainly not one.

how did your fiancé send you the letter of intent it can't be scanned copy. it needs to be sent to you by mail they have ways to fine out if it was scanned have the fiancé sign an date in black ink an =print the name in blue ink

I dont think the date should be a problem.

our affidavits of intend to marry were dated august the 2nd, and we sent the packet in august the 16, they got it in August 19.

the affidavit of intend to marry should contain your name, date of birth and place, where and when you met each other and that you intend to marry your fiance in 90 days.

It is not incorrect, affidavit of intend to marry is not just to say that you intend to marry within 90 days, it should contain who you are, who your fiance is, when and where you met each other. Would be best if you include how many times you ve seen each other in person.

What? Where in the instructions does it state this?

They cannot be scans or copies. This is why some people get an RFE for their letters. I suggest signing your letter on top of something soft, such as a magazine. That way the indent from your signing is visible and won't look like a copy.

They just need the simple statements with original signatures. Nothing about how or where you met or how your relationship progressed, how many times you have been together face-to-face, etc. That is NOT the purpose of the letters of intent. If you want to write out a timeline of your relationship, then add that as an attachment sheet for the question asking about how you met within the last 2 years.

Here is what it says and i quote " Intent to Marry: The beneficiary, xxxxxx must provide an original statement (signed and dated) indicating that she plans to marry the petitioner within 90days of the beneficiary's admission to the US."

I received a RFE like that as well so I submit the letter intent to marry and i also submit some evidence that I intent to marry him like skype chat discuss about buying rings, wedding dress,....
