2 month overstay 10.5 years ago

First I would like to thank all the great people here for the great advice and information this year. Me and my fiance have been working for a K1 for almost a year. Interview is 12 September in Manila.

Problem: She had a K1 visa 10.5 years ago in which she overstayed 60 days (2 months). Has not tried again since. after reading thoroughly, I thought we better mark yes on the DS 156 portion that asks ( Have you ever violated the terms or been unlawfully present). Dont want to be viewed as trying to lie. We have been honest on the areas asking about prior visits documenting the overstay as well. I hope this is not going to render this interview denied on arrival.

If it was this long ago will it be a factor? Is there waiver request I should be looking into that could be useful at interview time?

Any advice, or personal experiences on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

You should tell the truth and no, it will not matter. 2 months doesn't result in a ban. Good luck.

Thank you for the response. I hope that is how they view it. We got rained out for our first interview and Im just getting paranoid they could delay or deny. But I will just think positive.

agree with the others. 2 months does not incur a ban so no waiver required.
