Heartbroken, destroyed, and feeling like a fool

On Monday, my fiance (or at least who I thought was my finace) sent me a message on Facebook and told me that she was not going to talk to me anymore, that she never loved me, and that she used me and nothing more. I am heartbroken beyond belief, as I was sure that she was the real thing. It always seemed so geniune, so real. But I feel like a fool.

And we were at the final steps.... the Packet 3 was sent on Monday too.

Sounds a bit odd though, and I wondered the same as VanessaTony. It's an odd stage in the process for someone to suggest they were just using you. I hope it is just some dumb "friend" of hers messing about.

Wow that's definitely a low blow but maybe there is more to it than what she posted on facebook. Give her time and yourself some time to process how this could be and what were the signs if any... Very sorry this has happened.

I would call her parents and see what's going on with her.

I'd probably then write a letter to the embassy so they black list her when applying for visa, as technically she broke the law in signing various applications for the process. Let her feel like a fool.

After, I'd suggest to go re-route your trip to romania and go to Amsterdam for a week and enjoy yourself. You don't need someone who will bring you down in life. Stay positive and regroup.

I called her a bunch this morning, and finally her "Cousin" answered and asked "What the f___ do you want dude?" and proceeded to tell me that she never loved me, that I am not a gentleman, etc. etc. etc. I do not think that he is really her cousin though, I believe it is her new husband. I am moving on. I tried to be a good person to her, helped her finish her masters degree, helped her not have to work a terrible job, and would have given her everything I could out of love. If she chooses to end it this way, then I was wrong about her.

I still care for her, but I have no choice but to move on.

I am sorry for that but in reality she was the fool. If she never loved you she was the one who wasted all this time on this relationship knowing full well it was not going anywhere. The fool is not the one who gets pushed over the edge of the cliff, so much as the one who jumps on one's own volition.

On a positive note, you are better off finding it before getting her here and dealing with the legal aspects of a marriage and sponsorship for a greencard.

Man I definitely feel for you.... before this girl I was in a messed up 2-year relationship with the girl I THOUGHT I was to marry, and it took me my 4th TRIP TO THE PHILIPPINES to realize that she's really NOT the one as I totally saw her true colors! I had even petitioned her as well for K-1 Visa and even got the NOA2. How long had you known this girl who totally changed on a dime on you?

Seems really immature having a 'cousin' respond to you on the phone. Reminds me of dating situations in secondary school, when the friend will give you the low-down on what has happened. How old is she, anyway? Sorry this has happened to you. You can find someone more mature who can handle a grown-up relationship.
