I think that actually receiving packet 3 sometimes never happens? I think it's expected that you find it online and fill it out/send it. I'm don't understand what you're asking really, but all I know is that as soon as the embassy gets your I29f, you can send them packet 3, regardless of whether or not you receive it in the mail.

Here is a link where you can get Packet 3 from the Vancouver Consulate.

So you don't need to wait for the packet to send in your info? Isn't there a slip

That you have to sign stating that you have sent in the required docs and are ready to be interviewed? I thought I read that somewhere. If not, then that's awesome! That's how it should be. Once they have it and you have your case number you should be able to download all docs, fill it out and send it off. That would speed things up a whole lot.....especially for places where the mail system is so unreliable.

My fiancé emailed NVC the DS3032 assigning me as his agent. Does this mean the packet will come to me in new York?

I think once your I129f packet is at the consulate, you can just go ahead and send them packet 3 after downloading it off of the internet. Most people never get packet 3 in the mail I've heard.

Hi - just posted this in France forum too - so there isn't actually anything in the Packet Three that you need to send back, which you can't download? I know that when we got an RFE there was this gold top page included, that we had to send back with our response.

I mean, is it possible to just send the forms that we've prepared (DS-2001 - DS-230) around the right time and hope that they just cross in the post? We filed in December and we really need our interview date within the next 6 weeks.

I was wondering the same thing myself. No input from France members on a required extra slip of paper? Almost tempted to try it...
