Guys goodmorning.. I just want to ask where should I send my AOS packet.. Is it at Dallas lockbox again just the same on the address of where my hubby sent our 129-f? Cause I'm confuse about my hubby told me he said there' s new address to where we supposed to send the AOS.. if I'm not mistaken he said somewhere at Chicago.. He said he looked at it on Internet.. Is this true.. Thank you just doin my cover letter and Im tryin to know if he is right..

March 26, 2009: We become a couple!
September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!
June 21, 2010: Engaged!!!
September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!
February 18, 2011: Wedding ceremony in Shiyan!!!
April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)
April 29, 2011: Updated

November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

Read the instructions. If you missed that, then you probably missed a lot of other things and will get RFE.

Why do people feel the need to be hostile???

This is a stressful process and VJ is supposed to be a place where we can come and receive answers and not feel judged or be made to feel stupid.

It would be great if people could limit their "advice" to just that, and leave out the personal comments.

It is no way hostile. Part of DIY is "D." If the OP missed that then there are going to be other mistakes. Putting it like that might help them go through and fix their application which will help them in the long run.

If that's a hostile response, you'll probably find mine to be downright mean. While you don't have to be a Ph.D. to go through the immigration journey, it is very much about paying attention to the details. The people who take time to respond are giving good advice -- check your work before you send it -- to help someone like the OP avoid any delays caused by an RFE.

Bottom line, if someone in this process isn't reading the USCIS instructions and VJ guides thoroughly to know where it needs to be sent, then the likelihood of missing another key piece increases, e.g. how much the fee is, etc.

Part One: The K-1 Visa Journey:

USCIS Receipt of I-129F: January 24, 2012 | Petition Approval: June 15, 2012 (No RFEs)
Interview: October 24, 2012 - Review | Visa Delivered: October 31, 2012



Part Two: Entry and Adjusting Status:

POE: November 18, 2012 (at SFO) - Review

Not hostile. True and helpful. Everyone should read the form instructions for any form they are filling out. Reading the instructions is basically the most helpful thing anyone can do for their case and filing success.

I agree with Harpa. If you do not read the instructions, there is a whole lot more you have missed besides the mailing address.
