We use whatsapp whenever we are both awake, and when we are both available at the same time, we try to get in skype calls each day, sometimes only for a few minutes, but they help. At least once a week we try to get a few hours on skype and we watch tv shows and/or movies together. We schedule 2 -3 visits per year either one direction or the other. Actually right now, she's on a plane heading this way for 2 weeks. Of course she was supposed to be here in about an hour, but plane delays have put it off by 10 hours, so I'm getting a little anxious that she won't be here tonight like she was supposed to be, but It'll all be good tomrrow morning when I see her at the airport. I also have one more trip already booked for July/August for me to go there for two weeks, and that should get us fairly close to the NOA2 time (hopefully)

Wow i truely feel for u!! Just when u think ur situations the worst, sumone out there always has it tougher! But u have a positive attitude and that will take u far!!! Ur strong! Keep ur head up! And if i can help, let me kno! Im always online lol.. I will for sure send prayers your way! And it sounds lime u have a great connection between ur hearts n souls keeping the fire burning!! Its doesnt need to b defined or logica based! I have a connection to my partner as well i can not explain!! Its a bridge God builds between 2 people and only those 2 people may pass.... My man and i close our eyes sometimes symotaniously and just reach our hearts n souls to one another... And unexplainably can feel eachothers warmth and comfort... We can sense desperation from eachothers hearts at random times and feel urges to contact one another.. Its similiar to a mothers intuition.. We just kno wen sumthings wrong... We have actually met in our dreams only to realize after discussing it the next day, that we both had the same dream and same experience, feelings and all on the same night... Now explain that!? Lol nobody can.. Your soulmates is the best suitable explanation... We always just say, no matter the time away, no matter the distance, this is only a moment compared to a lifetime we are goin to share!!! Stay positive... We all need a little care n helping hands! :) God bless your Journey!

Thank you for the encouragement & words of comfort. i don't know what i'd do without VJ & the connections built herein. How lucky we are to have each other...i mean how did the folks before the advent of the internet get by??! I sometimes say being in love is a terrible privilege...if that makes any sense at all :)

Staying strong & hopeful.

With the world full of technology and communication, and so many devices available..

It's the thought that counts, and it does not matter which one we choose, or how..it's taking the time to let them know we care.

Whether it's one minute, one hour,or one moment....it's how we share those moments that matter.

Most of us are restricted by borders that make driving to see our loved ones a dream we could only wish were possible.

And even if we could fly..work, family and our commitment to the lives we live don't allow us, or afford us the ability to do so.

Don't hate those who's lives dont afford them the worries we have that allows them to leave as they wish, and have nothing to stay for.

We will all survive, and have survived the many months, and in some cases years...only being allowed to visit when we can, and as time and money allow.

One should not feel guilty, or be burdened by that same guilt and be looked upon as being uncaring, or lacking compassion for those we love

all because we can't simply leave our jobs, family, kids, or careers at the drop of a hat, or as we wish,

And one should never allow those feelings to enter their thoughts simply because others attempt to make them believe we should be just like them.

Live your lives from one moment to the next, and be accepting of the path we have all chosen, knowing that the path is long, and filled with tears.

But always remember..their is a light at the end of the tunnel for us all, though some may try to shine brighter then our own.

If their path is better lit, and easier traveled..it is them that will never feel the love we feel when they reach the end.

Life isnt fair as they say, and no one has the right to tell us they are better, or smarter, and no one here on V.J. should ever choose that path, or those words.

Just remember..a journey traveled in darkness, and fear, is best rewarded with the warmth, and love of a heart worthy of that journey.

So every time you talk, text, yell, scream, or send a simple letter on paper or electronically..its the thoughts we send, and the feelings we make known that make it worth doing.

Every second alive in a life that is lasts only a moment in time..is a precious one...so spend it wisely..but always with Love.

May Buddha , God or who or whatever you believe in allow us all to be together soon..

and let Visa Journey and the Caring People who want to make that journey easier thru knowledge, and Love allow it to happen.

Now that your done reading this..what ever it is you do to communicate..Go Do It..and tell them.."You Love Them."

heart.gifThank You All here at V.J.

Try leaving and when you get there..its 23 hours later..thats my world..

and if lay overs..anywhere from 24 to 35 hours total flight...LOL..Cambodia...the New World All Over Again.

Your time difference is almost the same as me.. My fiance had 2 stop overs on his way back to USA in Jan. Total time was close to 37 hours. So, I feel ya! The distance and time differences suck :(

I know what you mean. I'm dealing with a California to Australia time difference as well and the upcoming time change this weekend, even though it's only an hour is going to throw off the whole schedule.

And to be a total nerd, the 15 hour time difference is more like 9 hours. For example being 23 hours apart is really only 1 hour apart. It just so happens one of you is almost a whole day ahead or behind the other person. But anything past 5 really puts your sleeping patterns in jeopardy! :bonk:

Haha, not to worry, I nerd-ishly thought the same thing soon after I posted that! Still rather an annoying time difference though! Luckily, Western Australia doesn't do daylight savings, so the only time change I have to worry about is the Californian one, which changed just a little while ago! Where about's in Australia are you, and where about's in California are you going? =)

WE SKYPE EVERYDAY AND WE TEXT AND FB EVERYDAY AND WE GO TO SLEEP WITH SKYPE ON MAKES US FEEL LIKE WE ARE TOGETHER...

Pretty much that's how we deal with the distance as well, without FB since we don't hang out there. But emailing during the day, sharing news, music, watching movies, etc... plus a daily dose of skype time makes us feel we are experiencing our relationship in real time. However, when technology fails us for any reason, I get so sad and lonely. It can be so frustrating.

Then I think of the time when hope was the only thing that kept a relationship strong and rolling, and so I count my blessings.

Sleeping together with skype on is definitely my favorite time: we are each other's last and first thing we see every night and morning.

How do you get it to connect automatically? I have not seen that option.

On your skype main screen.. Go to Tools > Options > (left hand side) Calls > Check the box that says "Answering incoming calls automatically" and "Start my video automatically when I am in a call"

Click the save button. Then your loved one can hit video call and Skype will answer automatically. You can check on your partner while they are sleeping and imagine yourself crawling into bed with them (which is what I do) :)

sorry for my poor english, I'm the beneficiary tongue.gif

PS: (to other people reading the thread) If you are a person with a bitter heart, jealous, insecure and don't have anything positive or good to say to me or other people. Please..don't talk to me biggrin.gifheart.gif

sorry, I'm kinda traumatized with how people react here on VJ. I once posted a gratitude prayer hoping it would help other people with their worries but unfortunately all I received was sarcasm and negativity, people with bad attitudes and hateful hearts.tongue.gif

I agree with what you said. I once had an argument with someone who was also a beneficiary from other Asian country. maybe she wants to be my English teacher then and she was proud that she studied english just to learn how to be able to speak/write English right.lol. oh not to mention English is one of the primary language that we Filipinos speak. though not all are able to speak well but atleast whenever we speak our tongue is not totally stiff. lol.And can learn easily. And she is not aware that even if VJ is a public forum, it still has its rules and regulations about respecting other people.I hope some will take time reading the policy of VJ.It doesn't mean that you are in public forum, you can already disrespect anybody or be rude just simply because the person did not agree to the responses she got. And oh btw some people here are acting as if "they know everything". . I guess those who don't know how to respect does not also deserve to be respected in return. "don't do unto others what you don't want others do unto you". NOT ALL FILIPINOS don't know how to speak English. as well as not ALL other nationalities read, write, or speak perfect English. I just hope some people here would realize that VJ has members from all over the world. There might be times that the English is worst! Just like the post that I read the other day, but I never post a response and say, wow ur english is bad. lol. but for some, it would already be a big deal. headbonk.gif

In response to OP's post, me and Robb talks 24/7 through skype. we even leave skype on while we sleep. :D the longest time we left skype on was 60hrs :D WE also watch movies together. Share TOUCH episodes. We are also planning for our Wedding. We are also planning for his vacation during my medical and interview soon. Getting ready for medical, interview and CFO so that once we get the NOA2, we already know what to do. We are hoping that we will all get done with these obstacles we have for the meantime in getting our NOA2.

Maybe I don't understand because I haven't filed for the K-1 just yet, but why doesn't anyone here seem to visit their loved one's while applying?

ummmmmm, I am sure most of us do visit their loved ones. But a visit every few months or once, twice a year is not enough to keep you from missing them inbetween visits?!? Maybe there lies an ocean and a whole continent between the 2 of them, everybody has their lives with responsibilities, a job they can´t just up and leave anytime they miss their partner, they possibly have children to take care of, a roundtrip costs $ 1500 or more so you can´t afford it all the time. In many cases it´s visa issues that won´t allow them to travel to their loved one´s country and/ or stay there until the K1- process is over....so there are plenty of reasons. I don´t think anyone of us CHOOSES not to see their significant other.
