If the foreign fiancé's passport pics are a tad bit smaller than the 2" x 2" USA norm, would that generate an RFE?

Has anyone ever sent in smaller than 2"x2" (by very little) pics and APPROVED?

Yes for sure. Get the correct size.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

This also happened with my fiancee. The passport pics she sent me were taken correct length wise, but shorter width. She was told that they were correct size for the passport, but I can tell they are not even 2x2. I sent it in with those pics, hopefully there are no issues, but I'll know in a few months anyways if I get an RFE.

Some people do, some people don't. Either do new ones, or hope these ones are good enough. Those are your options.

I read somewhere that US passport sized photos are only needed for the interview at the embassy, but then I've heard about people getting RFEs for wrong sizes with the package. It probably depends on the mood of the person looking at your application.

I sent a UK sized photo with ours, so I don't know whether to expect an RFE or not.

Aw man this stinks because I just recieved the pics my fiancé in Mexico sent me and this is our situation with the pic's size.

I was already planning on sending the I-129F in this week.

The size pics they gave him was after he told them he needed "passport pics".

:(

What are the UK photo dimensions?

Philippine passport size is smaller than US passport size. It is 1.77'' by 1.37''. :)

My fiance sent me a set and I happened to have my pics for my concealed carry and they were not the same size so I told her to get them done again and make sure they are correct size. She fixed it and maybe it saved us. They do miss things also but since they tape it in a 2x2 box it is kind of obvious if it's the wrong size.

I think that's the same size pics my fiancé sent me.

Is it possible to scan the smaller 1.37" x 1.77" pics and print them to be 2" x 2"?

Or is that not allowed or not possible to do??

I'm stressing about that myself. I printed my fiance's photos, which were prints of her passport photo. I sized it to exactly 2x2 inches, but there is also a measurement for the face. I measured her face in the photo, and it is just barely inside the required dimensions.

Might be possible, depending on the photos, and what I did at one point.

Scan the photos, then go here: http://www.epassportphoto.com/ and upload them to change them to US passport size (if you can). Pay attention to the prompts and skip anything for payment, and save the pics as digital pics.

My fiance sent me UK sized passport photos too for our application. Apparently when he told the guy at the post office he needed US-sized photos, the guy picked this one and said it was the same. When I got them in the mail, they were a tad smaller than mine. I still have one left so I can take it to any photo kiosk, scan it and re-print it as a US-size. Either way I'm hoping we don't get an RFE for it, hopefully you don't either!
