Event Description

Embassy Review :
Im sorry if this is really random, our interview is really casual and i cant really remember the first questions she asked so please bare with me:
Our schedule is at 945 and arrived at Suite A USCIS, chula vista at 920. Came in line coz theres another family who is ahead of us, waited a lil bit for the security and when he arrived he asked if he can help us. I said "good morning" and gave him my binder showing my interview schedule. waited for 2 minutes till he opened the door for us and let us in. Getting inside the building needs security still so theres a machine like airport style that scans stuff and u have to put your stuff in a basket. My husband and i have to put our belts and watch and ring into the basket and was advised to turn our cellphones off (we left our phones inside the car). After that, the security told us to stand in front of the marker and wait till someone in the counter calls us. We waited for 5 minutes and we were called, and asked for my interview schedule. The woman is the counter is nice and even asked us if were doing good and if its our first time here. Then when she was done with recording something, she told us to go straight to room 116 and wait to be called. i looked at my watch and checked the time and it was 930. I didn't really expect that room 116 occupies a 100 people so i was kinda surprise. We waited there with the rest of other people like 5 families. We were talking about and trying not to get bored coz we were kinda early for just a few minutes so just in case bring something like a crossword that you can play while waiting coz i totally forgot it. So we were the 3rd person to be called from those 5 families there, i even saw one old woman that looks like shes crying coz her eyes are so red, i feel bad for her. So finally the door opened and its a pretty woman thats in her mid 30's she called my name and we stood up. She led us where to go and there inside that magic door is a long hallway where you can see a lot of doors , and as i have observed its for officers who interviews visa applicants. (Kewl) So, there are women who guide us going to the room which is weird. so its the first woman in front of me, me, my husband and the last is the woman at the back so its kinda awkward. i waited a few doors on the right till she stopped on the 5th door thats opened already and i stayed up and my husband sat right away, which my bad i did not told him that we still have to take an oath.
So we took and oath and sat down right after saying i do. I was kinda confuse of what to answer coz i was suppose to say yes but my husband said i do so i said i do too. When we both sat on our chairs she asked for my husbands ID and she asked for my passport. They were really nice and my husband and i are really lucky that those woman interviewed us coz we feel so comfortable with them though i was kinda nervous. Those woman , because, two of them interviewed us, the first woman is sitting in front of the table and in front of us and the other woman is in the other side. I think the woman thats in front of the table is new to what she is doing, or maybe shes an intern, i dont know . The first question she asked to both us is how we met, so as usual if im asked if how we met i always smile about it coz its the best thing and happy situation that i will never forget. So me and husband told them the story of me talking and my husband continues the story. Everything is really casual and i really like it and i feel so comfortable about it. Then she asked for our marriage certificate and my birth certificate. She didnt even asked if its original but i gave her the orig and copy of each paper, and she can choose what to take. Then after that she asked if my husband met my family and we told them the story and so on. She then asked who went to our wedding and where we went on our honeymoon and if we had one, then she asked for pictures. I gathered pictures from the first time we met to him visiting the philippines couple of times , our vacation to see his parents before the wedding, our wedding, our honeymoon and us visiting his family again last new year. Its quite thick so she asked if its their copy i said "yes". (btw, its all just printed pictures from a bond paper and the other pictures are the pictures that i brought with me during my k1 interview, so keep your pictures, so you dont need to print again. Right after that she asked for my husbands Tax returns, we were interviewed right after the submission of the 2013 tax returns so i really make sure that i have it with me. I asked my husband if we can pick it up at IRS or just print it out online. Either way is good. We did print it our online so we dont need to go downtown. The woman in front is asking the other woman what she wants to ask or is there anything she wanna ask so she ask if theres any Insurance that my husband have which my name is on it. I said "yes". So i gave it to them. Its the military insurance. Asked where my husband is assigned right now and asked for my husbands birth certificate which i was kinda confuse already where i have located it so my husband helped me and we found it. Then right after we heard them say "so we guess your marriage is in good faith" i was smiling when she said that coz it is true. Then they let us sign on a paper regarding on when to apply for removal of conditions. Its for their copy and the applicants copy. And they said " we approve your greencard" my husband said "awesome" i just kept my happiness inside. But oh my , i was sooo happy to hear it. It made me feel so secure, coz when i had my k1 interview, the officer didnt even said if i was approve or not. So this is soooo great. Then we stood up. The woman guided us to go to the lobby and were done. all smiles up to the ears. Yey.
when we got home i immediately check the status online and its on card production. And checked again after a few hours and it changed to decision that they sent a letter of the approval. After three days Checked online and its on card production and said on April 25 2014 we sent your new card.
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
