Well he is sticking to his guns!! He says when the interview comes he will again be honest. I speak with him mom all the time and she advocates he is a honest man fer sure!!

Some folks have more standards than others.. I am thankful truly we will be victorious I am sure. I just spoke with our lawyer and informed her she feels he did the right thing and as long as the test is negative that should not be held against him. She does not feel it will affect the decision. I put all my faith in my Father see my husband is what I asked him for a honest man, a true man, a man of God. And that he is I a bit disappointed by he says he is going to do Great things for GOD. Yes for some reason it took a very long time to get approved. Evilness wants to trick me into believe it has prevailed over us. The Devil is a lair and a snake and has no dominion over anything in our lives.. I trust HIM completely

I think you have a good man there. And I can totally understand how you would blow up over this. It's so incredibly difficult. A long process and everyday you just want it to be over. So good luck to you both. He did the right thing.

Hi to all.. I have the same problem here, i also admitted to the dr that i had smoked marijuana once just 4 months ago. My interview is set on March 27, 2014. My medical is finished and the result will be forwarded to the US embassy here in manila. I am ready to accept whatever the CO decision and hopefully that I will get only a 1 year ban. I just want to ask if a one year ban means that I can apply again after 1 year for a visa? Is it possible that I will be approve after 1 year? I'm planning to go back to Dubai to work there, is that make a valid proof that I am clear enough to be granted a visa after a year? If there someone here with the same experience please advise me on what to do. Thanks..

Why is everyone saying that her husband was in the wrong?

I don't mean this to come across meanly, but he was being 150% honest and it was medical not recreational.

You do realize that if he had lied on his medical exam, and it was figured out later, this could get your denied? You cannot lie to the government about anything. You must be honest. Honesty is the best policy. So don't be too hard on him, he probably wanted to make sure that it didn't get brought up and made things harder for you.

If you have any issues, you hire a lawyer as it was for medical purposes. I wouldn't worry too much about it. If you're that concerned, have him get a doctors note from the medical practice that prescribed him the treatment. They can't be bias when it comes to medical needs and its not like weed that is prescribed medically would bring in a health issue to the US at all.....and if it was four years ago, I would even be less concerned.

It might cause some delays in your processing, but legally, because it was medical, they can't discriminate him or you for it. Again, like I said, if issues arise, hire a lawyer right away.

If everybody admitted to MJ use half the jobs in the US would need to be filled.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I have been following this topic and although it doesn't pertain to me in anyway its somewhat interesting and just wanted to chime in on this scenario.

Ok so guys what if you come from a country where you get tested and tested positive for MJ but you actually have never smoked MJ before but you went to lets say a club or even in my home country some cocktails are banned by the government because they contain huge amounts of MJ but in Africa laws dont really work so its still sold. So what if I go out and drink 1, 2 of these cocktails or like I was saying went to a club and inhaled it and its found in my system and I get tested positive. Will I still get the ban if that is my excuse of going to the club Inhaling it or maybe drinking that cocktail? Am just curious guys looking at all situations here

If you tested dirty of course you would probably get a ban. How it got in your system is of no never mind. There have been VJ members who came here and posted they went out the nights before interview and was subjected to second hand smoke.

I guess think like a CO why the heck would you even jeopardized your future and even subject yourself to a thing. And really you explaining all that means their is a risk and don't you think the CO's know what's going on out there. Do you know how many field people they have out there and people from the country comeing back giving them information on many things. They are very plugged in to whats up.
