I finally received my NOA1 / VSC - 2/28/2007. Please add me to the list.

Congrats!

I had to call the NVC again today. This is going so badly that my wife's parents are convinced I'm just keeping Sarha as a unwitting mistress in China and I pop in for business and sex every now and then.

Thus my panic over my dates. Well, I hope it goes well for you from here on out. If I could just get this to the point where the consulate mails something out, I might get back to just a uneasy standoff with the inlaws.

You know its bad when your wife has to hear the story from the NVC to reaffirm her faith in you.

Screwed up, one-thing-at-a-time jackasses. There's 2-3 months of just swapping paper in this process with chances for error and lost mail at every point. Now I have to move to save a marriage and mess up 20 other people's lives in the process. For what......

So sorry to hear about your tough situation. I remember Vy's sister-in-law jokingly wondered if I had a mistress in the US with me. I was a little annoyed at that but she didn't know Vy and I were pretty much in contact ALL the time. Phone, email, and Skype. Ahh, Skype, a lifesaver. From a communication standpoint, we were closer than many couples physically together.

Thanks for the well-wishes. I understand your total frustration. I also wish you the best and hope the NVC speeds up the process. If you can pull through this I am sure your wife's family will see you for who you are and give you more respect. One important thing though is for Sarha to understand the situation. I had the fortunate situation where Vy and her mom knew what the situation is with immigration. They knew it takes time but I also had the luxury of constant communication on my side.

02/22/2007 - I-130 received by VSC.

06/12/2007 - NOA2 approval email received!!!

06/15/2007 - NOA2 letter received in the mail.

08/27/2007 - CASE COMPLETE!!!!

09/06/2007 - Case forwarded to Sydney

09/14/2007 - Wife receives Packet 3. Received NVC letter confirming case forward to Sydney.

10/26/2007 - Interview - VISA GRANTED!!!!! WOOO WOOO!!!!!!

11/18/2007 - Enter the US via LAX (POE). No issues thankfully. 20 minutes of processing.

11/30/2007 - Welcome letter (two of them) received.

12/19/2007 - CR-1 Green Card received.

09/23/2009 - Express Mailed Removal of Conditions application

09/24/2009 - USPS confirmed delivery to VSC

09/29/2009 - Check cashed by USCIS

10/01/2009 - Received NOA I-797C dated 09/25/2009

10/10/2009 - Received Biometric appt letter for 10/29/2009

10/29/2009 - Biometrics taken. Whole process took about 40 min including the wait

12/22/2009 - Approved for ROC!

01/08/2010 - Received text and email: Card production ordered

01/15/2010 - Received Green Card in the mail!

USCIS - N-400

04/22/2011 - Express Mailed Application for Naturalization

04/27/2011 - Check cashed by USCIS

04/28/2011 - Received NOA I-797C dated 04/26/2011

05/27/2011 - Biometrics taken. Process took approx 35 min with wait

07/29/2011 - Received Interview Appt letter scheduled for 09/01/2011 dated 07/26/2011

09/01/2011 - Interview and Oath. Now a USC! The VJ is over!

I see that your I-129f was already approved. Would they still approve your I-130?

The I-130 has to be approved regardless of the 129. You need an approved 130 to apply for AOS from K3 or to just continue with the 130 process.

Ugh. I am not thrilled. But at least I know that another person from Vermont got approved. It's encouraging for me, considering that I see so many people from California getting approved instead.

I feel for you guys because I've checked timelines for CSC filers and their stuff has gotten approved in about 60 days or so. But then again, K-1 filers for VSC are getting approved in about 4 weeks. :wacko:

08/08/07 - Case Complete

09/27/07 - Interview, visa granted
