I was born and raised in Chicago but both of my parents are Jamaican. I used to travel to Jamaica every summer to spend time with my family. In 2000 my daughter and I went to Jamaica and that's when I met my Javon. After a few trips we realized that we are meant to be and decided to get married. In 2005 I filed the K1 was denied for not meeting the two year requirement. Due to school and my own personal reasons it was very hard for me to travel so so we decided to wait. After our denial I went to see him but didn't know if we wanted to re-file the K1 or go the K3 route. With some research and consideration we decided the CR1 was the best route so on Oct 30, 2006 we got married.
