My I-864 was received January 30th. They approved it on February 23rd.

Now they are waiting for the IV Fee Payment. That got lost back in November. So I had requested a duplicate on or around the first of February, by phone call to the NVC. They generated the duplicate fee letter from that 2/1/07 (approx) call on February 12th. I received it in the mail on Feb 23rd and mailed it back to them with the $380.00 cashiers check on February 24th, from San Diego. They haven't posted the payment into the system as of this morning 2/27. I'm guessing it will get from San Diego to St. Louis by snail mail today or tomorrow.

Anyone have any idea how long it will take them to post the payment to the system?

If I call the automated status line, will it tell me:

1. When the fee is received?

2. When the DS-230 has been generated?

How often does the automated status update? If its not daily, I guess I can try to call them daily and then use the shortcut to get the DS-230 overnighted to them using the shortcut procedure.

Just to show you how slow things can get. Look at how bad these dates are. Consider I was never asked for any RFE info etc. I did have a 45 day slow down in November of 06 because I was out of the country and the IV Fee letter got lost.

So, you can see that things have gotten faster lately. But in late 2005 until late 2006, things have been abysmally slow. I called the NVC today and they said I could expect up to 20 calendar days for them to post the receipt of the IV Fee payment. Then they will send the IV Application. So we are probably looking at another 6-8 weeks for them to complete the package at NVC, assuming no slowdowns.

I'm just beginning to lose all hope that this will ever comnplete. I guess that is exactly what the US Government wants. Please rot in a corner with your Chinese wife until you can't stand it anymore and get a divorce. This can't be anything but racist while the Mexican border is wide open with military bands playing the Mexican national anthem to welcome anyone whos walks across the border with unlimited benefits.

Screw this country. I'm moving to China March 17th. They can kiss my case and 2 million dollars per year in tax revenues goodbye. Good luck with your immigrations people. I hope you all get welcomed into a country that doesn't deserve you. For me, I can't wait to get out now. Screw America.

Congrats!

I had to call the NVC again today. This is going so badly that my wife's parents are convinced I'm just keeping Sarha as a unwitting mistress in China and I pop in for business and sex every now and then.
