I recieved my visa today!!! Exactly 9 months after we sent I-129F with my fiancé! (that nice cause we planned a wedding in may...headbonk.gif haha. This was before finding VJ. I don't advise anyone to do this, but to those who made plans already, see, it is possible that you'll have both the bride and groom for your wedding kicking.gif)

Thanks VJ, thanks to all of you! It was definitly nice to know so many other were going through the same thing. You all made me feel less lonely!

Everything went well and smoothly, no RFE (a thousand thanks to VJ guides!), we never had to put a service request, our case was processed roughly at the same time as others who filed in june, NVC didn't hang on to our case, it was out of NVC 10 days after electronical NOA2. The embassy was a little bit slower, but not awfully slow either. They didn't loose our case or forget us.

The interview went so smoothly too (and so fast, in less than an hour, I was out the embassy). They didn't ask a ton of supporting evidence for the affidavit of support (just the letter of employer, and pay stubs). I had very few questions on our relationship (where and when we met, how many times we visited each other, where we were getting married, where we were going to live, if we had been friends before we started dating).

Ten days later, I recieved my visa. Just as the woman at the interview promessed.

And my flight is now booked!!!

So, to all those who are waiting and stressing out, eveything can go well!!

I hope you guys have a smooth and short journey!!

Best,

Good luck in your visa journey!

Tehehe... It would be a disaster if one of them (bride or groom) were not present.

I'm happy for you! Many congrats! :star:

I agree, for many people everything does go right. I didn't discover visa journey until after we were at NVC, and things still went right for us, we did it all on our own. We had no RFE, no delays, my husband had administrative processing after his interview for 10 weeks, but it is pretty much mandatory for his country, and we were well aware ahead of time he would have it. All in all our process was 10 months from start to finish, even with the 10 weeks of AP. If he didn't have AP the process would have been 7 months, not too bad. Congratulations, and best of luck with the wedding!!! kicking.gif
