The new chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.), signaled in an interview that the panel would move at a deliberate pace on immigration, in part because Republican leaders need to educate more than 100 first- and second-term members who Goodlatte said “know very little” about the complexities of immigration law.

The same could probably be said for the demo's ...

Many people (excluding those on vj ... And even some here) haven't a clue regarding immigration. Heck our corp HR and legal are amazed at what I know about immigration and are in awe that I did the entire process myself ... They know I know more than I let on ... And if they screw- up .. They come down the hallway and ask for guidance. I've gotta start getting a cut of their salary .....

The lawyer I paid $1800 to get my wife here didn't have a clue about immigration. Hell, he wasn't even aware of CR-1/IR-1. He told me K-3 was my only option. Thank god for this website.

well, it's not the immigration law the majority of the VJ members here deal with,

so sending out personal email invitations to these 100 fellas wouldn't be useful.

Slan!

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

How so? A lot of these folks - like most Americans - have never even been outside the country. They have no idea what things look like beyond our borders. In fact, many Americans don't know what things look like outside their county.

I know people that have never left Texas.

What exactly do you mean with beyond our borders? Are you trying to tell me there is something outside of our country? Aren't we are surrounded by savages who want to invade us?

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

Oh sorry. Was my sarcasm not drippy enough?

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.
