There are 2 types of RFE's 1) Initial RFE (when you forgot to send initial documents like birth certificate, taxes, forgot to sign a form etc). 2) Additional RFE (when they request something else besides what they asked, like taxes from 2010, etc).

Did you get an update on your EAD? Interview letter?

Me. Same as yours (2012 taxes). I can't stop putting pressure on my extra stressed cross-border accountant!

At least deadline is April 15th so he'll be ready tomorrow or Thursday so they USCIS can get my RFE when they begin Monday.. :bonk:

Oh ok thanks for explaining that. Mine was for a missing doc to show us citizenship. And no I haven't received an update on EAD or Interview letter. The only updates since RFE was when it went into Response Review and then it went back to Initial Review.

We did receive an email on 3/27 because the post had returned mail to them. We figure that is where the NOAs are. We received the biometrics appointment letter so quick that we never even thought about the NOAs. We called and they told us they couldn't tell us what was returned and to wait 14 days (that's today). I feel it was NOAs because that message came and that was the first time we could see all 3 case numbers.

There are 2 types of RFE's 1) Initial RFE (when you forgot to send initial documents like birth certificate, taxes, forgot to sign a form etc). 2) Additional RFE (when they request something else besides what they asked, like taxes from 2010, etc).

As long as you send it to them before the deadline, it will be alright.

Yep, you should be okay. The USCIS system is not always the most efficient and current, approval is a good thing.

Heck, when my wife and stepson got their GCs, the USCIS system first said "Card/Document in Production," only later did it say "Approved." Go figure...... that's USCIS for ya...:bonk:

The next step is to receive the interview letter, your local office must be running a little slow, mine took 6 days for them to schedule an interview from the day my status changed to "testing & interview."

You should check why the NOA's were returned, maybe you should put a sticker with your name in your mail box, you don't want your EAD/GC to be returned :D

Congrats!! We kind of have the same timeline, the difference is that you almost have your EAD and I already have my interview date, want to switch? ;)

Now I'll see how much longer it takes my EAD to arrive because of the initial RFE :-/ hope not too long. Hope you get your IL soon
