Well, good news! We have been approved. We got our Congressman to call. The same day, my husband received a couple of messages saying the card was in production. The first message said it would arrive in 30 days, and the second 60. It was strange that when we logged in to USCIS last week, the status dot was at card production. Today when we checked, the dot was back at decision. I thought that was strange. However, we received our notice today with a notice date of Feb. 20. We did not have an interview, which contradicts a previous message they sent. We're not complaining, though!!!!! Good luck to anyone else waiting.

Thanks! We put in a service request in December. They contacted us pretty quickly saying our case was transferred to New Orleans for interview scheduling. They said we'd be contacted in 60 days or less and do not contact them unless it reaches that point. They never contacted us. Valentine's Day was day 60. We called and got transferred to higher level person, but after waiting about 10 min, the phone line "disconnected." Called back and got transferred again, but the phone just rang for about 45 min. We hung up, because it got to closing time for them. That's when we went ahead and contacted Congressman and got an immediate response. I'm pretty sure the timeline is updated. Good luck and I hope you get a response soon.

Thanks for the info and inspiration. We ended up contacting our congressman last week, they are starting an investigation but have heard nothing yet. Fingers crossed I guess! 13 months so far...

Well, not sure if this is coincidence or Congressman Hultgrens office doing it's due diligence, but case status changed today to Card in production :)

Hi All,

Can you please advice me on how to contact the congressman and what to say ?

My application is being processed at San jose California field office. My interview was on 27th Jan, we got an Notice of intent to deny 2weeks after becuase the medical document was left incomplete from the doctor. We sent back the correct one 1 month ago and no change is status yet.

I'm really frustrated and sad.

Generally your senator or congressman/woman will have a contact form on their website especially for immigration issues. Just give them the basics: Timeline, status as you are aware of it, but keep personal numbers out of it. They generally will have someone call you for that information so it's safer not to provide that in a contact form. Good luck, try not to worry.

This is what I just received after contacting my Senator here in NY:

Dear Constituent,

Thank you for contacting my office for assistance via my website. Your concerns are very important to me. However, in order for my staff to proceed in assisting you, we will need additional information.

Please complete the Privacy Act release form that is provided in the following link: http://gillibrand.senate.gov/privacy/Privacy_Act_Release_Form.pdf. This form grants my office written permission to make the proper and necessary inquiries to the appropriate federal agency. The Privacy Act states that agencies may disclose information only after the individual concerned has provided written authorization. In addition, please enclose copies of any supporting documentation relevant to your situation with the federal agency.

Your completed form and other materials should be faxed to my New York City office at 866-824-6340. If you are unable to fax, you may also mail to:

Senator Kirsten E. Gillibrand
Attn: Constituent Services
780 Third Avenue
Suite 2601
New York, NY 10017

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact my casework staff at 212-688-6262.

Sincerely,

Kirsten E. Gillibrand

I got an interview on April 1st, after applying in February 2013. They gave me a RFE for missing the tetanos shot, I send it back in a couple of days, got approved on the 9th, and my card was emailed today.

Can't believe I got an interview after 14 months. I had to get my congressman and senator involved to get the interview. I was adjusting from a K1, so it should have gone smoothly.
