I need for my mom to co sponsor my hubby and we have sent 3 times for her transcripts but they keep denying them. I know we have filled out the forms correctly. If we were to use her tax forms and W-2's do you think I would have any issues? This is getting frustrating cause we have been trying since October :bonk:

hami - get Mom into the local IRS office, get it done in person.

Guys plz help if you know the answer to this question:

I just found a forum that said once an approved I-129F goes to NVC and to the consulate, USCIS retains the approved I-130...but my approved I-130 is at the NVC, does this mean I can't pursue both routes? I am so confused! I have read on multiple posts where ppl pursued both, but now I am confused more than ever....I'm afraid after paying the fees and going through the whole process they will retain my IV application and not send it to the consulate, would that actually happen?

Plz advice if you know :(

unsure where you read 'that' - but 'to retain' is wrong. it's never retained at USCIS.

YOU CAN PURSUE BOTH ROUTES <EOM>

Now that's an option the IV unit CAN and WILL take. If'n they decide so. As to 'why' ? It's their call - usually they will do this IF they see a CR-1 in the pipe at NVC.

That's #######, I'm sorry Emily :( Have you paid any fees to NVC regarding the K3? Will they refund that or at least put them towards your CR-1? I also find it interesting that the consulate knows you have a case at NVC so early, before you've even begun that process!

this totally sucks....I can't stop crying right now literally....This whole process has been nothing but disappointment, as soon as I get my hopes up something happens and breaks me down...No we haven't paid any fees for the K3, now I can't stop thinking that it might be my fault, I emailed the consulate yesterday inquiring about when they will send out packet 3 instructions :crying: I should have left it alone, maybe they would have just sent me packet 3 :crying:

Emily you can't know that and you really shouldn't do that to yourself! Just keep remembering how fast your got your approval for the I130 and try to hold on to that feeling. Now that your case is finally at NVC it means that YOU control the pace. Your journey is almost over, you're not going to have to wait on others to speed up your case. Plus, the Cr-1 is really the better choice for visa to get the green card immediately on arrival. Cheer up!

I can't stop blaming myself now :( it raised my hope when it got to the consulate and now it's shattered like glass....I'm sorry I don't mean to rant but I am feeling really down right now. I really don't care of the advantages I just wanted to go home to my hubby. If only they had sent my I-130 to the NVC on time I would have been done with it by now :(

yup looks like I won't make it for my 1st wedding anniversary which is in March :(

Are you trying to get the tax return transcripts from the IRS? Like Darnell said, either in person or you can request online instead of the paper form. Have you tried their link?

http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Order-a-Transcript

That's how I ordered ours and it takes 5-10 business days, ours came in within a week. Why are they denying it is what I'm wondering...

On another note:

So, while everyone has legitimate problems going on, NVC has messed up the beneficiary address for my husband. They messed up 1 letter in the address so now I have sent 2 emails to them to fix it as soon as possible. I'm waiting on them to fix the address before I pay the AOS fee or go any further. :(

Why would you want to wait and waste 1 to 2 weeks on an address that is of no matter?

I had an address change (I moved) and called NVC thursday it took all of 2 minutes. Forget email it takes up to 2 weeks for them to get through that stuff.

Get going with your packages dear.

Alas, beneficiary address is important, as the visa packet is sent to that address after visa approval.

The beneficiary address is 'fixed' usually, when the DS-230 is added to the casefile. I note you haven't sent that in yet (per yer timeline).

Just saying...

Ok, I was reading this whole thread this morning and now I'm a little nervous about my taxes and the AOS. While I make well above the federal guidelines for two people, and have been stable in this job since the end of Oct 2011, my 2011 tax year was not quite as successful. I moved to Chicago to start a PhD program that year and didn't work until after the program fell apart over the summer and acquired this job. 2009 and 2010 also far exceeded the guidelines for two years, so it's only my most recent completed tax year that's troubling.

I haven't done my 2012 taxes yet because I'm filing married filing separately and the IRS informed me that I wouldn't be able to efile this year since I have a non-resident alien husband. My employer will provide me with a letter and I have a letter they wrote last summer when I started this whole process, so they'll also be able to see a significant pay raise in the year... but now I'm worried about that 2011 tax return.

Suggestions? Thoughts?
