Hai saylin !

Our attorney asked my husband to contact her to tell about my case....

My hubby contacted our attorney and she told that in our passport clearance certificate they issued with the name of REGIONAL PASSPORT OFFICE....That is why they did not accept our Police clearance certificate...

There is no meaning what NVC is asking....because our state(Andhra pradesh) has two regional offices one is HYDERABAD and second one is VISAKHAPATNAM.

The place which i am living comes under REGIONAL PASSPORT OFFICE,HYDERABAD...In India, we have passport seva kendras which works for local passport office....

So naturally our local passport office is Hyderabad....They are calling regional passport offices because they are only working for particular region....

When my hubby told about this to our Attorney she told that she will sent a letter to NVC telling about this....but she told us to check with the passport office(this is just passport sevakendra) once if it is possible to give new Police clearance certificate from my place...If they may raise this issue in the interview .. then there would be delay....

So i contacted Passport seva kendra in my place today....I told about the situation to them and I asked them to give Police Clearance certificate from their office(on their address). But they are telling that they cannot give on their address because they are working under Hyderabad...All passport Sevakendra's which come under Hyderabad will give on the name of REGIONAL PASSPORT OFFICE,HYDERABAD...They also told that they issued number of Police clearance certificates but anyone did not told about the issues like this....They cannot produce any Police clearance certificate from their office...our local passport office is Hyderabad..._

10 - PASSPORT POLICE CERTIFICATE:____________________________Indian Police Clearance Certificates should be obtained as follows:

All Indian IV applicants aged 16 and above, residing in India, should obtain police certificates from the local Passport Office.

NVC people did not even understand about what is ...."Local passport office"....passport office which comes under our state or place we are living....mad.gifThey just foolishly telling about REGIONAL PASSPORT OFFICE..Anyway our attorney send the letter telling this ...Now i am bit relief from this ...but feeling very frustratedcrying.gifcrying.gif because of their thinking we must reviewed again and wait for 20 business days (they are telling.).Anyway thanks for u Saylin...

Happy to help! ^_^

Yes Saylin!!!

yes i obtain correct pcc!!!

Went to local passport office and i also sent original one.....headbonk.gif

Thanks for your response......

Did they specifically ask about the passport clearance certificate? What they may actually want from you is a local police clearance certificate. I believe most applicants from India try to send both the passport clearance certificate and the police clearance certificate. My husband is sending me both to forward to NVC.

Your current income is how much you're currently making. If you're on salary, then put your salary amount. If you're hourly, then multiply the amount with the amount of hours and with 52 weeks.

Yes, that amount should meet your employment letter. If you've got a letter already, then put that amount.

hi saylin! how about my husband's case... he doesnt have income from the past 4years coz he was studying in our country where we met.... what should we do? thank u!

THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!!

Sorry, did I do something wrong? I called and the guy just offered the information. Was it ok?blush.gif

Please advise. I was hoping it would it would save a few days.ZoomButt.gif

Also sent the DS-3032

sld - just because someone put their cranky pants on this morning and decided to post in the forum, don't necessarily listen to it. If people were less adversarial with government employees, they'd probably get the information they wanted, like you did. The first two posts, which you were advised rudely to print out and tape up tell you to email a template of the 3032. However, later in the thread, people were stating that their scans of the signed documents were actually getting responses more quickly.

I did as the post recommended and had my husband email a template. Lo and behold, we're still waiting for acknowledgement of receipt. I would scan and email it if I were you.

Finally, people hang out in a thread to communicate, ask questions, and get support. Why then, are we being advised to not do just that by another member?

Congrats on the case number, sounds like you got good information and you're moving along!

If he doesn't have any income, then you have no choice but to obviously put $0. You have a joint sponsor I assume? They'll fill out an I-864, just like your husband.
