Hey Guys, we filed in August, still no update on the NOA2 been 3 months now. Anyone else facing the same issue ?

Our Story

Fell in love in Pakistan, Got married, she left, filed the papers, missed each other, she came back and now we wait together for the process smile.png

4th July 2012 Married in Karachi, Pakistan
15th August 2012 I-130 Sent
21st August 2012 I-130 packet Received Email confirmation
24th August 2012 NOA1 received email and mail - petition transferred to Lee's Summit, MO.
4th September 2012 NOA1 status on USCIS, case transferred to USCIS office
Update: 11th Nov 2012- Found out case is in Houston Local office since Nov.

April 15th 2013 - I-130 Approved (NOA2)

July 2013 - Petitioner (wife returns to the US) and starts working.

September 2013 - Decided to file with NVC.

October 2013 - Submitted DS-260 got approved.

November 2013 - Submitted civil documentts IV packet.

December 2013 - Received email from NVC that documents are complete

January 17th 2014 - Interview - Put in AP for 1 to 3 Months.

Hey Guys, we filed in August, still no update on the NOA2 been 3 months now. Anyone else facing the same issue ?

They often don't update on the USCIS site. I have filed in VSC and I filed in March 2012 still waiting on NAO2, you just filed recently, it takes at least 5 months generally for a NAO2 sometimes less sometimes longer. Patience is a virtue here, even if seems like forever.....smiles.... Good luck!!!

not really, once you get NOA2, the NVC moves faster than USCIS, count about 3 weeks to get your case number and from there is up to you on how fast you can get your AOS and DS-230 turned in, start gathering papers and studying both forms. Good Luck!

Hey Navin, I'm in the same boat as you, but even though some people who filed after us have been approved, we shouldn't feel bad. Normally, before all this NBC/transfer business, the USCIS process would take 5-6 months. So, people who got NOA1s in July are still waiting, too! I'm sure it doesn't feel fair to them to see NBC/transfer folks get approved before them.

USCIS: 307 days from NOA1 to NOA2 (no RFE's)

15JUN2012 USC married in Côte d'Ivoire
13AUG2012 I-130 sent by FedEx to Chicago
15AUG2012 I-130 packet delivered to mailroom, per FedEx.com
18AUG2012 NOA1, rcvd SMS & email saying case is routed to Vermont Service Center, later rcvd by snail mail
21AUG2012 the date on next I-797C received only by snail mail, says petition transferred to Lee's Summit,MO
28AUG2012 "touch" (website shows case was updated)
03OCT2012 the date casefile was sent to Atlanta, per phone call with ISO
01FEB2013 infopass at Atlanta, casefile has not even been assigned to anyone yet!

21JUN2013 NOA2, email received! USCIS website is updated! No SMS was received.

Letter rcvd later by snail mail from NBC, Lee's Summit, MO; however, I know file was adjudicated in Atlanta.

NVC:

11JUL2013 the date NVC says they received our file

19JUL2013 called and got Case # and IIN #, gave email addresses

22JUL2013 received DS-3032 and AOS invoice by email, mailed DS-3032

Hey Guys,

Time is 5 months and I know this is hard long wait, also remember that USCIS not in hurry and we all wanted to be approved in a few days. I am also like you and been 2 1/2 months in this process. I was/am thinking each day same thing, but now I check website if there is any touch/NOA2 and try to think less. Now I start completeing NVC documents, when time comes I can save some time and avoid mistakes. Just pray and keep hope... Hope short coming days are going to be good ones for all of us....
