Hello VJ'ers I really need you comment's I receive my visa last november 15 and i find out that my visa will be expired December 13, 2012..is this normal? please i really need you opinion with my worries..God Bless everyone

Contact the Embassy immediately and speak to them about it. While less than a month is not the normal expiration date for a K1 visa, anything is possible.

It's unusual. Was there a delay in issuing your visa, so that your medical was several months ago?

Last I knew they use your Medical Date then add 6 months, so was your Medical finished 6 months from Expire date? Upon futher investigation of your timeline I see you fly to the US on the 24th NOV, so you should be fine because the K1Visa is then converted to I-94 and the K1V is no longer Valid that day at POE. RELAX now and enjoy your trip.

GOD Bless

Mr. Pangga :)

Your visa is valid for six months from the completion of your medical at St. Lukes. Like Mr. Pangga said, there's nothing to worry about if you enter the U.S. before your visa expires.

When did you have your medical exam? Visa expiry (6 month count) is based on the date of your medical.

Example: My hubby and kids had their medical AUG 17, 2011. Interview SEPT 30, 2011. Visa received OCT 4, 2011. Visa expiry FEB 14, 2012.

Sis, go to the USEM immediately while there's still time and tell them about your concern. They should do something about it.

God bless you! :)

Are you flying on the 24th November? If so, there are no issues.

hello Penguin_ie yes my flight will be on november 24 and thank you so much

Since you are flying to the U.S. on November 24, then you have no visa worries. When you enter the U.S., the Customs and Border Patrol officer will issue you an I-94 which will be valid for 90 days. Have a safe flight and a wonderful reunion with your sweetheart...and welcome to the States! :star:
