Nah... Let Romney defeat him soundly first, indecisively, and nail that coffin shut using Obama's own words and performance. Obama is doing enough through his own performance to make his defeat sure.

Beyond that. Obama kicked Romeny's a$ tonight. And I'm not a Democrat. Or a Republican.

Huh??blink.gif

Obama already is talking about how he wants to teach young people when he loses. Not sure what debate you watched, but the debate of Romney vs Obama was a Romney victory. The Dems are on their way out, and not saying that just because they are losing in the polls either.

My wife sure wishes she could vote for Romney. In 4 years she will get her chance.

Obama won the debate. Romney has no foreign policy plan.

He will make a great teacher at a liberal school... They will love him there. He also would make a great host of a TV show. So his career isn't totally washed up.

Are you certain she's not checked into the USCIS liason office at LAFB? Usually, USC is granted after basic training, if she filed on time.

What I admire on Romney the most is how his advisers have managed to keep this man of many faces going like an energizer bunny.

In order to win the nomination -- and he did -- a very conservative Romney showed up as a right winger and Tea Party guy who would bomb Iran, initiate self-deportation of 11 million people, sign a petition for a constitutional Amendment that would declare the meeting of a sperm cell and an egg a person and would thus make taking the pill a criminal case of murder, destroy Obamacare and turn Medicare into a voucher program, and even distance himself from the greatest achievement he could be proud of: Romenycare, the blue print for Obamacare.

Now, as the Republican nominee, a moderate Romney has to appease the Hispanic, black, Asian, women and swing voters, and he is basically a white Obama. "Bring the white back into the White House" is his motto, and his positions are identical to Obama's in regard to foreign policy. Sure, he's against the Obama DREAM Act, which is a version of the original Republican plan, but he supports Rubio's DREAM Act, which is pretty much the same. He will fight Obamacare, and will replace it with Romneycare, which is virtually the same. He all of a sudden promises to protect Medicare, just wants to add "options" for people under 55. If there was ever a human being who can change colors so dramatically without getting caught by his own supporters, it's Romney. This man has determination, if nothing else.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

She probably wont have her background check (yeh, they do a background check on her, to include interviewing family of hers in the Philippines too) complete until January. After that she will go to basic training. All they told us is that she is required to get her citizenship prior to the end of her 6 year enlistment, in order to re-enlist. And they said that it usually makes it easier to get the citizenship if going in the military. I really need to research all that online now. Blah... no energy lately.

Actually, since I dont know what you mentioned here, I thought she shouldnt apply for citizenship until after she got back from basic, in case they would complete everything and want her to come for an interview but she would still be gone.
