Well after waiting so long for my RFE I have. But I have a question they have asked for affidavits from relatives DO THEY HAVE TO BE NOTARIZED? And has anybody gone through this as well. Oh and I have to send them more pictures just more evidence that we are truly a couple and again has anybody gone through this and how did it go? I'm so sad that thay may denied us. PLEASE LET ME NOW IF THIS HAS HAPPENDED TO YOU

Please provide the exact text of the RFE for the review purposes of forum members.

It says

Submit evidence that you and your fiance have met each other in person at some time during the two year period from March 2,2010-March 2,2012 the filing date of your petition.Evidence may include but is not limited to.

-Your own statement which must include the date,place,and circumstances of your meeting. If you submit a personal statemant it must be supported by aditional evidence.

-Copies of travel documents

-Photos(date and place of the photo must be handwritten on photos)

-Letters written to each other after your meeting, referencing the specific date and place of your meeting.

-Photocopies of your passport and your fiance

-Written statments sworn to or affirmed by two persons,other than yourself and the person you are petitioning for,who were living at the time the events ocurred and who have personal knowledge of the events you are trying to prove. The persons making the affidavits may be relatives and not be citizens of the United States.

Hi VJ friends

My RFE says that I havt to send (Written statements sworn to affirmed by two persons than yourself and the perso you are petitioning for who were living at the time the events ocurred and who have personal knowledge of the events you are trying to prove. DO THEY NEED TO BE NOTARIZED??

Affidavits do not need to be notarized. I am also suspicious that they are really asking for that directly - I think they might be offering suggestions to prove what they are asking for.

Please put the entire text of the RFE here. Are they asking you to prove you have met in person in the last two years?

Ahh, just as I suspected. Now that the threads are merged, the text of the RFE is here. It is asking for proof that you have met in the past two years. It says evidence may include but is not limited to: and it gives suggestions.

The best type of evidence is passport stamps and boarding passes from planes, or tickets from busses or trains, or the like. What do you have in that regard?
