Hi Andromeda,

Thank you so much for getting back.., Atleast some one replied to my question...

My relatives in india are going to try first on their own and if they need me then i will have to go . i have no choice...

Thank you just pray for me everything gets sorted out very quickly as time seems short now.

I'm not sure how it works in India. But in China, Government's public service can be very bureaucratic. Usually people need to follow up very frequently in person to push such things corrected, even though it was the government's original mistake. If you send them a letter, 99% chance they'll simply ignore it.

I had been through similar situations three years ago on getting a non-criminal record. It was painful long process wasting me 6 months after my PD date passed! Fortunately I finally found the right person to get it fixed, completed NVC filing and interviewed in consulate. Right after I landed in the US in December, there was a huge scary retrospective back of cut-off date. At that point, I was so grateful that I didn't waste a single day...

Given that experience, I would personally suggest you fly back and make them correct it right away in person, even though it cost some $2,000 flight. If greencard is important to you, it definitely worths the money and time to get it fixed immediately, cz we never know what's going to happen tomorrow.

Hi chungta

Appreciate if you update your time line. it helps other to follow.thx

I tried doing that a few months ago but could not figure out how to. sorry. Plus I do not remember my NOA1 and NOA2 dates. Both the docs are with my husband in USA and I am here in Nepal.

I can tell u my PD though. Its May 2 2011. And I received the DS 3032 on August 2012.

I hope that was helpful.

I've lost faith in all predictions. hope it will move till September, although not sure how realistic is that. I hope it moves even further, but at this point I patiently await my citizenship  be strong people, there is always a light in the end of the tunnel :)

Hi Everyone,

I had a question My priority date is Oct 5th 2010 and my case is not completed yet me and my husband are still collecting docts and we are doing all this through a lawyer.

we did submit my originals to the lawyer recently and were almost going to submit the form online when the lawyer realized that on my birth certificate my father last name is missing and only his middle name is there which is nowhere on my passport or other docts.

So my lawyer as asked to get the birth cert amended and i am here in Vancouver and i was born in India ..i am not sure how long this process will take and wen will i get the birth cert amended as the process is really slow there. and i am just 2 or 3 mnths away from my priority date to be current . My case is not even completed..

Has anyone gone thru this like me. I am so worried , how will i manage to do all this last minute. and plus i guess it takes lot of time for case to be completed.

Can someone pls address my concerns..

I guess Dec 2012 priority will move until Aug 22nd 2010 but i hope it goes even further than what i am guessing.

My priority Date 5th Oct 2010

My mom had the same problem... She didn't had Birth Certificate at all. Ma grand Parents lost the certificate. So my uncle just asked for a new copy and they issued it in 2 weeks. May need some money to process things little bit faster. So don't worry!! Even though you might not have the documents ready they give you time after the interview to submit the documents.

In our case they asked for colored copy of naturalization certificate of my uncle, who petitioned for us. And we submitted that document after the interview. So Chill

And as far as I can think of if your passport has the same information as that of your birth certificate there should not be any problem..

PD 15NOV2010

CASE COMPLETED on 21 September 2011

NO INTERVEIW STILL :(
