when did you get your first touch?!

Ok...So, of course I'm just like everybody else who wants their case to be reviewed and approved quickly. So, I just wanted to know how long did it take you to get a "touch"?! Does the glitch in California's notification system affect the case updates online? What I mean to say, is it pointless for me to check for a touch if it will never show up? Thanks guys. I feel like I'm going crazy and I know this is just the first leg of the waiting process...Ohh...wow...this is crazy.

I think around 2 months after they received it. Based on the guides, it seems like it went from a storage facility to someone's hands. It was "touched" two days in a row and then they sent a RFE a week later.

Was "touched" 5 times after they received the information (most recently 10/25) and now we're just waiting . . .

I had a 'touch' the day my check was cashed, but that's all. Thus far, it's been a month and a half and nothing. Then again, I'm not really expecting activity until well into next month at the earliest.

Some people never get touched - it's just not a reliable indicator of anything happening in your case so if you don't see any, don't panic.

i did a K3, not k1 but the first time my application was touched was on the day of approval at CSC

I never received a touch of any kind. The CSC received my petition on July 18th and was approved on September 18th. No touches or RFE's of any kind. Touches don't mean anything.

I got a touch on the day that they received my I-129F packet at CSC, and then another one the day after they cashed my check. That's it...of course, it's only been 3 weeks

My first touch was on July, 20th that was when the USCIS recieved my (IMBRA) RFE. then after that i didn't get touched anymore until August 18 and that was when i had been approved. But don't worry some toucher don't always indicate an approval just means someone is working on your case. Which is still nice to know that your case still is in exsistance in there office and wasn't lost or anything. Good luck with your process!!!

I got a touch after 1 week of the NOA1 and no new ones since. I am hoping to get some more activity at about 3 months after the NOA1 which for me would be toward the end of November (fingers crossed).
