Hi all,

Filed for AOS July 13, 2012. The online status has been stuck in 'acceptance' for nearly 2,5 month. When do cases move to 'initial review'? Also, the online account shows that case last updated only on the NOA date, july 17th.

The website is unreliable. Don't let yourself be stressed about it.

Sometimes they update it, sometimes they don't.

Very true

I filed my AoS on july 12 and still waiting...the last update to my case was the fingerprints fee acceptance... I thinks is all about been patient! At least I already have my EAD/AP :) When I was waiting for my NOA2 of my k1 visa, I remember that our case was NEVER update at the USCIS website, always in initial review until my now husband recieved the noa2 by mail. So, dont be stress at least we are with our loveones and the EAD/AP is very very helpful while Im waiting

I wouldn't bother looking at your online status. From what many, many, others have said it seems to be wholly unreliable and causes people to stress out. I never looked throughout my whole K1-AOS process as I'm sure it would have made me antsy. You'll get your approval, when you get it. You are here now...just relax. You can't do anything to change it. It will come...eventually :)

Seems like we have very similar timelines. Filed my AOS on July 13, 2012 and received EAD on Sept 14, 2012. Now let's hope that our GC will be in our hand on the 3 months mark.

My status changed the day they scheduled my interview.... 3.5 months after. Hang in . If you filled for email and text notifications don't rely on the online status. You most likely will receive email or text...

Do you mean: the status changed from 'acceptance' to 'initial review' on the day you got the interview appointment?

As said, do no rely on it... Sometimes updates don't make any sense, and don't reflect the actual status of your case.
