I'm putting together I-129F package for mailing today. I read that you shouldn't use heavy duty staples and that two-hole punch at the top with an ACCO clip is acceptable. I plan to do that, but should I at least staple pages that are directly related, like the 4 pages of the I-129 form itself and say any other documents of more than one page so they don't get separated? I mean use regular staples for these? Or should I leave everything unstapled and just bind the whole bunch in order, under the acco clip?

Second question: someone recommend using certified mail. Does that work when you are sending to the PO Box (USCIS, PO Box 660151, Dallas, TX 75266)? or should it be mailed to the other address they say in the instructions is for express mail. What does anyone recommend?

Thanks for your replies.

Instead of stapling the 4 pages of the I-129f or any other pages that are related (totally get your point) use paper clips; apparently they like those better than staples because it's easier to pull apart when they need to.

It's up to you if you want to mail it certified. We sent it regular and it got there without a problem.

If you use USPS (independently of certified or regular) it goes to the Dallas Lockbox. If you use DHL/FedEx/UPS etc, then you use the other address.

That is correct DO NOT use staples for any part of the packet just put things in order and use the clip. You don't need to send it certified but i did send mine over night just to get it there quicker and have tracking but that is totally up to you. Best of luck to you!

We have used the top-of-page ACCO two-hole punch method for all of our submitted petitions/documents/evidence. We have used USPS certified, return receipt requested mail service for all of our submitted packets.

We have had no issues.

YMMV

Good luck on your visa journey.

I would always send overnight. I used USPS priority to the primary address. It saves roughly a week off the process and costs $18.95. I'd pay $20 to shave a week off the process anytime. My NOA1 date is 2 days after I mailed the petition.

Good luck!

I use regular staple to staple pages belonging together and uses one paper clip to put everthing thing together including the check and the cover letter on top of the package and i have no problem. i figured why would they need to seperate pages belonging together. Anyway, paper cliping seperate thing is not a bad idea too but i think either is fine. good luck in your journey!!!

Thanks everyone for your replies.

I have mailed it. I just clipped the whole stack under a two hole punch in the top acco clip. Paper clipped the check to the top sheet. No staples. Put a few tabs at the bottom for the major sections. Mailed via certified mail, return receipt.

Now begins the wait...

hi - how did you attach the passport photos for the g-325 form? paper clipped them to the form? thanks and good luck!

the passport picture should be labeled with the name of the person on the back of it and put inside a ziplock bag. write on the bag "photo of (name)" and staple it to a seperate sheet of paper and place it behind the G325 of the person.
