Recieved my ASC Appointment Notice (biometrics) today for 08/21/2012 in NYC. Thinking about doing a walk-in this Thursday. Has anyone done a walk-in in NYC? Plz let me know. Good luck everyone!

Awww, I totally get it. I burned my toast today and got teary eyed (our interview's in 3 days). Everyone thinks I'm nuts!

At least now you have the hard copies, you can take the case numbers and sign up for text/email notifications online. Hang in there.

I mailed my package on 7/20 and it was signed for in Chicago on 7/23. I haven't received any notifications and the checks haven't been cashed. I hope this is normal. I see others who mailed on the same day who have already been notified of receipt.

I promise I will. My timeline's in my signature. Our interview notice came prior to our EAD though, which isn't standard, but it's happened to a few people lately.

5/21/2012 - Email/text notifications received at 4:50 p.m.

5/26/2012 - NOA hard copies received for I-130, I-485 and I-765

6/19/2012 - Biometrics completed.

7/30/2012 - EAD card production ordered.

8/02/2012 - Interview @ 2:00

8/02/2012 - Email notification of GC production at 5:30pm

If its the location on Jamaica Avenue, then yes. I did a successful walk in. Just have a good reason why you won't be able to do it on the date of the appointment. But me doing a walk in didn't speed up my case one bit.

got the notifications yesterday, was so pumped! now just waiting on the NOAs for 130, 485 and 131. didn't file for 765 since I'm already working on H-1

I'll be going to Varick Street. It sucks that the Appt date falls on the day of my birthday and I have a vacation planned. Hopefully it won't be an issue. Will keep you guys posted. Thanks much.

Thanks much "Lornaevo". Took your advice and went for a walk-in this morning, and it was successful. :) reached there at 7.55 and was out by 8.30. Not sure if this was because it was Wednesday or not, but nobody even looked at my appointment date/asked me anything related to that. Got my fingerprints and photo done, and got out.

Also, for others who are planning to do a walk-in, I think it is key not to mention (without them asking) that you're doing a walk-in. Go ahead and try, just have an answer for why you're there earlier in case they ask for it.

Now, the real wait begings :) Good luck everyone.

If you have the time you can still try a walk in. Let them know you won't be around that week.

Same here. I overnight my package and it was signed by CHYBA on the 25th and I haven't received the text message. They haven't cashed my check. So worry. :wacko:

but i think there's a lot more people in this thread than the other one.

That one is for people who adjusting from K1 visa.

this on is for everybody else.

So that has nothing to do with "popularity".

And I think that is the right place for you since you are adjusting from K1 visa

Day0 -- 2012.05.08 Sent packet through USPS
Day1 -- 2012.05.09 Packet delivered at 1:29pm
Day7 -- 2012.05.15 Emails/texts acceptance confirmation at 5:16pm
Day8 -- 2012.05.16 Checks been cashed in the morning
Day11--2012.05.19 I-797C 4 hard copies received.
Day14--2012.05.22 Biometrics Appointment received. Scheduled for June 5th.
Day15--2012.05.23 Biometrics Completed at 1:30pm (2 weeks earlier than the scheduled date)
Day27--2012.06.04 Card production ordered for EAD&AP
Day28--2012.06.05 Second card production ordered email received for EAD.(why?)
Day30--2012.06.07 EAD&AP Combo Card mailed
Day32--2012.06.09 EAD&AP Combo Card received
Day98--2012.08.14 Interview scheduled for Sep.18th @12:30pm(thank god I don't have school that day)
Day100-2012.08.16 Interview notice hard copy received
Day133-2012.09.18 Interview!! I-485 updated to Card Production around 3:30pm
Day134-2012.09.19 Online Update: I-130 approved; I-485 New permanent Resident Status Registered.
Day136-2012.09.21 Second Card production Email.
Day141-2012.09.26 GreenCard received. (Done for 2 years!)

ROC:

Day0 -- 2014.07.07 Sent package to CSC by USPS

Day1 -- 2014.07.08 Package delivered

Day3 -- 2014.07.10 Check has been cashed

Day4 -- 2014.07.11 I-797 Hard Copy Received

Day12--2014.07.19 Biometrics Appointment received. Scheduled for Aug 5th.

Day23--2014.07.30 Biometrics Completed @1pm (6 days early)

Day95--2014.10.10 Card Production
