July 2012 AOS Filers

i just pointed out what i have observed.. i don't know where your word "popularity" comes from.. and some people here also filed I-485 that same thing that from K1 use for filing AOS.

They made two different forums for a reason...

I just suggested that you should compare your timeline with those K1 visa holder because you guys probably won't have an interview.

We filed I485 and I130 concurrently and we will definitely have an interview.

So we kinda taking a whole different path..

I'm sorry to complain again, but this is the only place I can do it. I'm very worried that it's been almost 2 weeks since receipt of my paperwork and I haven't received notice of receipt yet. I've checked other's timelines with similar dates, and their checks have cashed.

I finally got the emails on Friday afternoon. Today my checks are cashed.

Hi all July Fillers

I sent off my AOS package on 07/11/2012 and it was received on 07/16/2012 and I received Notification on 07/25/2012, my biometrics appointment was sent out 07/25/2012 and is dated 27/08/2012, my EAD was also received 07/16/2012 and I received my notification 07/25/2012

I also applied on the same day for my 3yr old son, and discovered yesterday after ringing USCIS customer service that there was a refusal on it, based on incorrect fees, after phoning the finance dept of USCIS i was informed that the payment was correct for my son but incorrect for me so rather than refuse mine, they just switched the cheque's and began my process, I resubmitted a new application for him yesterday, because it also came to light that they had an incorrect address for him, so the correspondence of refusal and cheque they had sent had gone there, I also stopped the former cheque.

I apparently paid too much as i paid $1870 for my package and $1490 for my son, I wasnt aware that if you applied for your AOS all at once you were waivered the EAD part of it, well i know now looool

Also, how likely is a walk-in biometrics to work?

They didnt take the larger amount, they took the lesser amount intended for my son and switched it to my application, then refused my sons application and rejected the cheque

I was looking at the timelines of other people on here and noone seems to have moved forward since biometrics. Is this something usual? My husband is dying to get his EAD so he can start working.
