Got my biometrics appointment letter, but I'm going to see how to go about doing a walk in this week I think, as its not too far from my house. I was getting concerned when I saw someone had one 8 hours away!

Has anyone tried tracking their receipt numbers on the USCIS website. I have tracked all of mine, my I-130 and I-765 are both showing their are in the Initial Review stage, however, my I-485 is showing it is still in the Acceptance stage. Does anyone have any idea of why this may be?

The 485 status will always be like that until you either get an RFE or interview notice.

I filed at May and my status still at acceptance

check the details on the bottom, I have a missing element so I need to wait for the I-797C to arrive to receive send in the missing elements.

I see it is accepted but it never will go into the initial review stage until I send in the payment

Im sorry, I'm not sure I understand. So because mine is still at the acceptance level, does this mean its going to get rejected? I have I-797C for it, but it just hasn't moved to this initial review stage yet. On the USCIS site, it says this should happen two days after being in acceptance, but obviously, this hasn't happened yet?

I did my biometrics at Oxnard

And yes, I'm still waiting for interview notice

Seems like San Fernando is extremely busy. It can take up to 5 months to finish the AOS there

Oh no! Sorry to hear that! Could you share what happened? Are they too busy/crowded? I remember seeing other VJers who are successful on 2nd attempt walk-in, since there are always different people on duty.

I did walk in biometrics and was successful too, the place was empty, i was the only person there, the staff seems to just be chatting and having a jolly good time, i just gave my appointment letter to the lady at the front desk, she just glanced over it and sent me through, i dont know if she noticed the date, but she didnt mention it so i said nothing either, they asked for my marriage certificate and ID.

Question: do yall think early walk in will speed up the process? i hope so!

Went up to Oakland and they let me do it today - yippee! Bit of advice - if you have 485/765 and 131 make sure they are all on the form or you'll need to do it again - I noticed and luckily the manager was able to add the I-131 (after a bit of why are u coming here early!!)
