Before you just do that, Have you called the USCIS and ask?

Normally, if your case has not been completed in 5-6 months, the operator will put your case as "processing longer than normal" and will send you an email stating that it will be completed in 60 days or you will get a notification of the reason it is taking longer than normal processing time.

i suggest asking assistance from your senators and congressman. after hitting the 5th month mark my husband mailed a formal request to his senator and congressman right away and had a service request from uscis. after 2 weeks of waiting for our noa2, he mailed another request to his other senator.then a day after he got an email from nvc with all the info for us to start the nvc process..we are so lucky and blessed, thank God. but he did all measures possible to see progress on our case. he contantly called uscis, his senators office and congressman..

good luck:)

i say call the US Representative and the TWO Senator's offices

then ask for the immigration liason staffer.

Once you got that person on the phone, ask them how long they have been doing this particular job of ILS.

IMO, you get an ILS of more than 1 year of work as an ILS, then you gots someone who:

1. has personal contacts at USCIS

2. knows how to ask the right questions and

3. can do the right triage for your case.

Good Luck !
