I really appreciate all the answers!! I def know about the spouse visa( like I mentioned in my question) I don't wanna start that now, as we all know it takes longer... ( Some mention about him been denied cause he got many reason to stay in US on tourist visa... How is he gonna stay illegal ,, when married to USC and we can always file for spouse visa) ok... Can I just invite my husnand without saying anything about the pregnancy? Its only for 1mth..... *some pple answer kinda confuse,, *

"Invite" him? I'm not sure what you mean. He has to apply for a visitor visa on his own. There is no invitation or you keeping the pregnancy secret. This is a visa he needs to apply for on his own in Nigeria.

And once it asks where/who he will be staying with and he says "my USC wife", it will be denied. Not trying to be mean or blunt, but there is no chance for visitor visa in this case. And if he misleads about the pregnancy, he could get in trouble.

You keep saying you don't want to apply for CR1 right now, why not? It would allow him to travel back and forth (with limitations, of course), but that visa is your ONLY option. It is not confusing at all...that is the only avenue you have for him to come here.

And you ask why he would be denied or suspected of staying illegally? You answer your own question...you already admit the CR1 visa "takes longer". So, this for all the world, would look like you're trying to circumvent the CR1 visa process, have him come on tourist visa, then try to readjust status. I'm sure you would tell me how could I dare accuse you of such a thing, and I'm not. I'm just telling you how USCIS and/or State Department would look at it. And that's why he would be denied.

I love when people post and they only want to read what they want.

You can write or omit whatever you want in your invitation letter; you have freewill. Your husband will have to show strong ties to Nigeria. The fact that he's an actor means nothing (unless he's applying for a visa for artist). If it's all about him being there for the birth then I'd have to agree with Boiler go have the baby in Nigeria.

Oh bare in mind that if your hubby does decide to go the tourist route and lies about your relationship/knowing someone in the US it will be recorded and it could hurt you when apply for CR1.

His chance of getting a visitor visa is so low as to almost be non-existant, specially because he didn't even start the CR1, and probably the US Consulate will think he will enter as tourist to adjust his status in the USA, no matter what he says tho. You should start thinking about some other options.Good luck.

Tourist Visa? not a good idea. It will be more than likely denied.

Spouse visa? Best idea. You may have your reasons why wait until next year, but given this visa takes time, you may want to start the process.

Good luck!

But there is no harm applying.

Unless money is the issue. If they're to raise money for the CR-1 and think the tourist visa will get them together without that expense, then they're wasting time and money.

The cost is minuscule compared to the cost of a Holiday in the US.

i will say go ahead and try. you never know. when i applied for my tourist visa to go visit my then girl friend who is currently my fiancee, i had no ties to my home countries (all my ties were in the US - work, bank accounts and girl friend) and i also told the CO i was going to visit my girl friend. he granted my visa and gave me 5 years multiple entry visa. lots of people told me i wouldn't get it. i also personally know of someone who applied for a tourist visa while K1 was pending, and the visa was approved

the point here is, you never know, just give it a try. if you don't get it, at least your tried. the BIG but here is - never lie or intentionally omit information from your story.
