Have informed my employer of my plans to get married and move to the US by the end of this year. They have an office in LA and have said they want to look at ways of employing me once I am legally able to work in the US.

My question is all being well if i receive my EAD card within 90 days of getting married and applying for AOS, will it look suspicious when I come to the interview and further approval stages if i am working for my previous employer in the US??

To be clear my marriage is completely genuine and if my current employer was not offering me the position i would still be getting married and moving.

If you've got an EAD, you can bloody well work for anybody that will hire you. I don't see a problem. You may not even interview for your greencard and you will list unemployed on that application because you won't be working at the time you file.

Of course it will not look suspicious. It will perfectly normal, I did almost exactly same thing - was here on L-1B, married, did AoS, got hired locally.

You come here on a K1. You get married. You file for AOS/EAD/AP. You get the EAD (and usually AP as it's a combo card) about 60-90 days from filing AOS/EAD/AP and you can work for whoever you want (as long as there's no citizenship requirements ) Doesn't matter that it's your old employer. Doesn't matter that it's so quick. In fact they're unlikely to even ask about it or mention it.
