Hi,

I am finalizing my I-129F packet and beyond my letter that details "Our Story" with ticket stubs, hotels etc... how many copies of emails, chat's, text and skype logs should I send, I mean I have a almost 2 years of all of it so what should really go in the packet? I was thinking just 1 or 2 from each month over the time period just to display the continuation of the relationship and the resources claimed... Any advice or examples would be appreciated...

None. send proof of meeting in person. Proof of relationship is not needed for the petition and is of no benefit. There does not need to be a "relationship" for a petition to be approved. You can meet someone this morning for the first time in your life and send the petition this afternoon and get approved. Proof of realtionship is for the visa interview.

"our Story" was two sentences and I sent ONE photo, copies of passport stamps and boarding passes.

Sending more will not hurt anything.

This varies from country to country. London is not as difficult as others. So your idea of a sampling throughout the term of your relationship is spot on.

Gary is correct that it isn't required for petition approval. But his circumstances are the less common minimalist extreme. Gary's also very good with BBQ lunch recommendations. :)

Having the relationship info in the initial filing does give more to the IO at the embassy to review prior to the visa interview.

Im in the same boat as you mate, however as the other peeps here have mentioned this is a petition. The proof of meeting within the two year period is the most important. Just make sure you include passport stamps from the POE, boarding tickets, credit card statements, 4-6 photos of you and your fiancee and any receipts you kept.

I personally will be sending secondary evidence like mobile phone bills (various dates), emails and letters. The MSN and FB logs is far too long winded to prepare at this stage, just wait until the interview! I will be sending mine on Friday to my fianceé so she can sign and complete the petition!

Now is a good time to send it as apparntly this is a 'quiet' period for them according to the operator she spoke to last week!

Goodluck mate!

Shoot the more I read about the proof of meeting evidence the more I'm getting worried...even though we are currently living together lol! Our situation is a bit different from some others as we meet in South Korea and so during our first year together we didn't visit each others home country until we left Korea. However we travelled to places in Asia together on vacation including Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand and Singapore, and so I submitted our passport pages and matching stamps for all the multiple countries we have visited together. Unfortunately we did not keep the boarding passes though..which I'm kicking myself over a bit now! The passports also include our Korean work visas showing we were working in the same country at the same time.

I also submitted our rental receipts for each month (5x) since we have been living together in Australia (both names on the lease), and copies of our Australian work visas.

We gave a wealth of secondary info including photos, chat logs and Facebook screen shots, though I understand this is secondary supportive evidence. Anyways, hope we don't get a RFE! But if we do I'm diligently collecting all receipts, bills and the like in the meanwhile...

Why on earth will you get an RFE? All you need to establish when you send the petition in, is that you have met face-to-face with your fiance(e), at least once in the past 2 years. Everything, you said, you've submitted seems to be all that + a bag of chips good.gif

Don't stress without an actually reason! This process is stressful as it is.... no need to start worrying before anything happens. star_smile.gif

If you check in the UK regional section of this forum, you'll be surprised to see that, the UK (unlike MANY other countries) will not request an overload of evidence... not even at the interview stage. Your consulate seems to be more concerned with the sponsorship of the fiance/e, than anything else.

I didn't send any. USCIS doesn't require proof of ongoing relationship, they require proof of having met in the last two years. I brought a couple chat transcripts, emails, etc to the interview.

Well I have the entire packet complete I am just struggling with my "Declaration of Meeting in Person" being too long... some people said just a few sentences and mine is like 3 pages in 10 point... and than how much of all those emails, Skype Log, and chat's to send for "Proof of ongoing Relationship"... I am more concerned about the declaration, I will try to edit it down tonight! Hoping to send the package out this Thursday!

I really appreciate all of your comments... all your support is so helpful... I've been reading this site like a bible today ;)

You are overdoing it. By a lot. There is absolutely no need to have three pages describing how you met in person. See the size of the box they provide to answer that question? That's the length of answer they're expecting.

You do NOT need to provide proof of ongoing relationship right now. All you need to do is prove you've met in person in the last two years. That's it. The rest comes at the interview stage. Show a couple of passport stamps, boarding passes, some photos and call it a day. They don't want your entire relationship history. They don't care.

Honestly, they do not care about your love story. They simply want to know the specifics of how you met in person in the last 2 years. It can be very simple and fit on the lines provided on the form. For example: I flew to visit my fiance, Joe Shmoe at his home in Someplace, Somewhere on April 1, 2010 and stayed until May 1, 2010. We had several other visits in person prior to that last one. (you could also list those dates as well if you wanted to)

Then provide the passport stamps, boarding passes, receipts, photos, etc. that backup the dates you listed as being together in person.

I just got my NOA2 with no RFEs and I put three sentences in the little box for question 18 with no supplemental pages. I just said, started talking online on date. I visited my guy on date, he visited me on date, we took a trip together on date, he proposed before returning home on date. The only things I used supplemental pages for were the work history on the G325-A.

For proof of meeting in the supplements, I printed out my Orbitz itinerary. The copy of my submission is 40 PDF pages.
